Grubbster
I've just had my Titan LSD overhauled by R&R so need to fill it. I've put 1l in so far and it's not dribbling out yet - I thought 1l would be enough, do I need to by more oil for it? I hope not as this isn't something Halfords supply and I don't have time to mail order some.
SM25T
From memory ... it is about 1.1 litres ? Can you put something through the filler hole as a dipstick to see how close you are ?
Grubbster
It was a risky thing to do but I stuck my finger in the hole, can't feel the level of the oil so a little more to go yet. I nearly got my finger stuck!I've used Fuchs Titan Race Gear 90 LS High Performance Gear And Limited Slip Diff Oil, would it hurt much to top it up with some of the caterham recommended diff oil (as I have some of this in the garage) or should I mail order another litre of the Fuchs? I wanted to get it all done this weekend ready for wightblat.
ECR
As it's only likely to need a dribble, I'd happily do it ....
Mankee
But seeing as you've just had the diff overhauled and, depending on how OCD you are, I'd get some more Fuchs on order. I think I've got a couple of unopened bottles on the shelf if you can't track any down and get desperate.
