MadCat52
Update on my post #88 above. Having run both the Uniroyal Rain Experts and the Toyo R888Rs over the past year, I have to say I've been very impressed with the R888Rs. They have much more grip in the dry and surprisingly (given the limited tread in comparison to the Uniroyals), have very good grip in the wet including standing water - close to the A021s I use to run. Whether the wet grip declines markedly as they wear down, I'll have to wait and see.Bob(Car is Roadsport SV 1.8K/140bhp)

ste
Are The A021s still wanted by people? My Caterham came with a spare set of 8 spokes, 6" fronts and 8" rears and an almost unused set of A021rs on them.
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted May 27, 2018 Area Representative Share Posted May 27, 2018 As previously mentioned, I am running RainExpert 3 (185/70 R13) on the Crossflow. In the dry, I feel they have less grip than 21s had, which is a shame. I used to feel that to get the car to misbehave in the dry was nigh on impossible. Now there are times when I feel I am at the edge of grip. In the wet, they are as good, there was standing water last night on the way home and I could drive easily, I never felt short of grip. (OK, I was driving respectfully.)
