skydragon
For those with a pathological need to win, the following news may give that added boost for the 2014 season The R300 race car also boasts new upper wishbones to take advantage of the altered characteristics of the Avon ZZR tyre and can be specified with new lighter 13-inch wheels. For wet conditions, Avon’s all-new ZZS tyre will be available. . So....who's going to be the first one to have a set of 'wets' ? *rolleyes* 😔 (of course should anyone invest in a set it probably will ensure a mainly dry 2014 season 😬 😬)
Dai Nelson
I think they should be bannedd.
James.S
The ZZS is pretty much a necessity for wet conditions - the ZZR can't shift water.
FramerateUK
I can't seem to find anything about the ZZS anywhere? Have Avon actually released them yet?

robmar
if you are getting wets why not the cr28 http://www.avonmotorsport.com/historic/road-legal/cr28-sport
skydragon
if you are getting wets why not the cr28 I think it Would change the ride height and car setup Rob. I'm guessing the ZZS has the same profile , diameter and tread widths as the ZZR, meaning you can swap them without any change (apart from grip)
Mark Durrant
I think the compound will determine if the ZZS will be of benefit for sprinting
Mr Happy
Done the cr28, so yesterday 😬
6speedmanual
CR28 good wet tyre for road use. Also for track in torrential/standing water. Otherwise gives a "traditional" feeling. Very soft and grippy. Wears out fast. Big fun. P
