Steve B
Having problems deactivating the immobiliser in the car. Goes off eventually but can spend quite a long time fiddling around under the dash until it does. Any tips ??
Alastair B
Have you tried swapping out the key fob battery to give the transmitter more power?
Steve B
The car is only 3 months old so I have tried using the spare set of keys but it makes no difference. Will try a battery though. Thanks
NickRob
Do you have a battery master switch? I found if I turned the master switch off, after switching it back on the immobiliser would take a lot of button pressing to deactivate. Now I don't turn the battery master switch off! Boss Hogg
Can't help, mine works well with minimal waving of the immobilier fob to deactivate the system
Steve B
No master switch I'm afraid. Best try the new battery route first I think.
Domus
I cut the cable ties that hold the ariel to the ignition barrel, it now loops down a little so all I do is touch the fob to the cable.
Steve B
That sounds a good idea Domus; thanks.
diggerman
When my 150 Roadsport was about the same age I had similar difficulty with the immobiliser. One day it packed up completely and I had to trailer the car to Dartford to get it replaced under warranty. Suggest you speak to them and arrange warranty replacement before you have same experience! Steve B
Thanks Peter. I will try the "easy fixes" suggested already and then panic!
