OliverSedlacek
I finally booked the 7 in at Power Engineering to see if they could diagnose its intermittent missfire. I'd changed everything possible, Megajolt, EDIS, coil packs, VR sensor, battery, ignition switch, spark plugs, but I was just confusing myself. The chap at Power Engineering spent some time looking at wiring, plugs, connectors and the like and I was starting to lose hope when he disconnected the alternator. Lo and behold, missfire gone. I'm a happy bunny, and I'm giving a thumbs up to Power Engineering.

OliverSedlacek
Wallet openned and a Brise alternator should be winging its way to me.
jonboylaw
Good news on finding the fault.. Was it a noisy supply caused by diode bread down ?
OliverSedlacek
Basically yes (as far as I understand it).
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 15, 2011 Area Representative Share Posted September 15, 2011 Oliver It's always such a nice feeling when the car drives properly again. . . . I must look at the slightly sticky throttle on mine. (I think it is just the peddle)
