bobt
Hi, Does anybody happen to know the size and thread of this? I would like to run a tap back through the wishbone as I'm having some issues getting the joints back in and would rather not leave them like this (I'm sure brute force would get them in but then I'd never get them out) Thanks Rob
Stationary M25 Traveller
Wishbone has a taper hole, not a tapped thread !!!! Have you got it the right way up ???
bobt
Hi, I'm refering to the other end of the balljoint, the end which screws into the end of the wishbone Rob
Stationary M25 Traveller
Aha ....... it is a very fine thread, that's for sure. If you can't get a tap to suit, you could wire brush clean the male thread, and perhaps poke a small round wire brush into the wishbone, then coat the male thread with lots of CopaSlip ... it may run a little easier. You were lucky to get it out ... they can get seized solid !!
