Bonnet and Nose Storage Unit

I made the two nose and bonnet storage from four angle brackets, four lengths of steel tube, some securing clips and covered with 22mm pipe insulation. It worked a treat as they are on the garage wall right now. Cost very little.

Details on how to make a set of storage brackets for nose & bonnet:-

Buy four angle brackets (B&Q) ~ 10" leg length.

Buy/acquire four lengths of tubing. I used steel at 20 or 22mm diameter but copper would work also.

Tube length Bonnet 2 lengths 39 inches each, Nose 2 lengths 26 inches each.

Four hose clips 30/40mm diameter

Some cable ties - heavy duty.

Four lengths of 22mm pipe insulation.

The tubes are simply secured to the top sections of the bracket with hose clip nearest the 'wall' end and cable ties along length. Tubes cut to length and covered with pipe insulation. Secured to wall with 50mm screws.

Fix to wall above head height to avoid walking into it !

I confes to having a very low tech solution for the bonnet: two small brackets and a length of 20x20mm PAR timber. All from stock...

If I am just inspecting under the bonnet, it often sits over the rollbar with the front end on the tonneau.

I don't have anything for the nose cone *redface* other than the floor/whatever is sitting around in the garage.

Alan: Good luck with the build, I hope it goes well.
