virden
On my Xflow S3 the battery box lives on the chassis members under the carbs. Whilst under the car I noted some bubbling of the powder coat below the ally battery box. On removing the battery I found that acid had leaked through the rivets holes (none fitted!) in the tray onto the tube and eaten two 3mm holes in the top of the tube *eek* Looks like I have some major welding to do *cry* The strange thing is I can find no sigh of a battery leak. Guess it must of got very hot one day. 1700 Super Sprint, Team Lotus and clams
Beverlonian
Sorry to see you have some work to do.... my spill came from a failure of the seam between the body and top on the battery leaving this. CC had never seen it before, I'm glad I did before I ended up with holes in the frame. Hope you get sorted out soon. Andy SV in Aztec Orange 'n' Black. david nelson
The banner battery has a breather hole on one side. If you corner to hard acid will come out of it. There should be a pipe that goes from it to the ground . After my banner splashed acid everywere i got ride and got a dry battery. David
Domus
My Banner has a hole in each end, one is open the other has a small plug. CC told me to push in a length of washer tube, this is routed past the washer bottle to below the chassis. www.peters7.co.uk

Never even noticed the little hole before so thanks for the heads up I removed my battery this evening & it's fine underneath but I'll see if I can do the washer tube mod. Why don't CC fit a length of hose from the battery in the factory?
