Mowerman
I've taken them off the car so all I have is the stub axle and upright to separate, so which way do they pull out of the upright and the best/easiest way to do it..... Cheers Kev
OliverSedlacek
The stub axle is a taper fit in to the upright, and can be very hard to dislodge. I'd soak it in plus gas for a couple of days and then use a press. If you smack the threaded end to hard with a hammer you may damage the thread. Stationary M25 Traveller
After soaking it with PlusGas as suggested, perhaps heat the upright around the stub axle before trying to push it out. If you do try using a hammer rather than a press, put a nut back on the thread and hit that, not the end of the stub axle.
ECR
They will come out with a press but they are very tight. I left a nut on when pressing them out just to be safe.
rj
Fit a nut on the thread and smack it.
