dannylt
Mad Hatter - what sort of power, torque and revs do you think this new engine will make? You know DannyLT has already been down the 2.3L, 2.4L and finally 2.2L route and reckons the 2.2L was the best of the 3 variants. The biggest engine was actually a 2.45L, and made 225lbft. I'd be interested to see how you get 2.4L and still rev it though! Any news? You said it was booked for dyno on aug 5th?

dannylt
I was anti sequential when I got my Caterham - I wanted a bit more involvement, but probably the G60 now. I haven't tried one though.
MikeE
Danny probably worth explaining why you wanted a hugely powerful caterham on 6 rims, explains why a sequential wasn't appealing at the time Duratec R538 Build and Modification Pictures here

7 wonders of the world
Short input shaft as all Duratec's need Depends which bell housing you use, CC version of the shorter Raceline or RWD versions, CC version uses the long input shaft. Too young to be old !
DaveMorris
Carl, just when I thought that Alison (my SWMBO) was coming round to the idea of me needing another engine .. .. Nick, you shouldn't have 😬 (and it's not even my Birthday yet) Dave. (obviously in a happy mood)
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted August 27, 2010 Area Representative Share Posted August 27, 2010 Just missed out on it for you Dave I think with your big Xflow engine or the bulletproof VX, you have enough to be going on with for the moment... 😬 Back in a BEC! - but done alright in Class 1...
