  1. If you want to map fuel per cylinder for absolutely peak bhp or flat out economy, then you need sequential too. But that's in to the realm of super-serious! And you've probably worn out your engine by the time you've finished playing 😬. If you're that serious you have a pile of engines to play with...
  2. Yep, that's what I ended up with after about 15 variations.
  3. Why bother with sequential? Batch injection with single injectors is good for 300+ bhp, and is simpler if there are any transition issues between inner & outer injectors - which you notice on a light car!
  4. Now that I no longer have my Caterham, I barely use it any more. Was perfect for towing to track days, and surprisingly rapid on the road. BMW 535d M Sport Danny

    Mixing Tyres

It's probably safer in a car like a 7, since you can feel the grip much more easily and it's never going to surprise you. Sounds like you'd just get horrible understeer though, in which case you'll quickly want to swap out the hardened fronts too. I had some 7 year old CR500s too, and they were comically bad!
  6. My alternator pulley was over 100mm from memory!
  7. I had one and it seemed to work fine. Seems a cheap thing to try relative to the cost of your engine! I had a large alternator pulley too, to the extent it didn't charge at idle.
  8. Now I can see what my too-lazy-to-post-on-ebay tax was

    Hot R500

Surely as an anisotropic material, it's a good conductor *along* the fibres, but less so across? Just like wood - 2 or 3 times better along the grain.
  10. Sold. Top tip for someone who is selling one and searching this forum for pricing - you should set it a bit higher than I did!
  11. I haven't cleaned it on purpose btw, or tried to do anything with the rust to obscure it. The high level tyre rack goes back on with 8 bolts. The Series 1 chassis is not included!
  12. You're right - there's a 42 on the torn bit. So there are two types of mintex - what's the difference with these? Mintex pads
  13. Just found my emergency set of spare front brake pads. Given how much everyone seems to know around here, perhaps they could tell me exactly what they are, and what they're worth 😬. They're for the "uprated" AP 4-pot front brakes. Says CP7600D46BXM11 on the box, though not 100% sure that's what the pads are inside. Pictures here. I think the box was most likely opened by someone else on a track day to see if it suited their car.
  14. Ah! Bit hard to match those two up, sorry
  15. Crikey! Ok, the main marking is 14408M, below that "6.0/21.0-13 A70 6975601". Hope that helps, given it's a private batch! Original pictures here. Danny
  16. No useful picture on their website - I'll take one when I pick it up tomorrow. It's just a recessed metal section in the decking to locate a wheel. Strapping motorcycles down always makes me nervous though! Pugwash - I didn't get an email from you.
  17. They are completely unused, with stickers still on. They were manufactured in February last year, and mine have been in a cool dark storage bin since. Only cobwebs to remove. I'll get a picture! I think the only detail on compound is "one step harder than A33". I can try to find out more if you need. On the front they will last many track days.
  18. They stopped making them a few years ago, and a group of us really missed them and so Jonny @ Bookatrack got a bespoke batch made by Avon. They are very slightly harder than the old A33 Caterham compound, and absolutely fantastic for track days - progressive, durable, and wear evenly with consistent grip all the way to canvas. My favourite tyre after having tried them all! The are NOT road legal. They have "bookatrack.com" branding on the side (which you can sand off if it offends 😬) I have 12 of them left after selling my car. £120 each ono, discount for bulk, but would prefer to avoid posting! Danny
  19. March 2005, lived indoors for years, but also spent a less happy time outside recently. Due to this, cosmetically average, with a few rusty patches (dodgy galvanising), but just had it properly serviced by GT Towing so all safe and sound. Very safe and easy trailer for a Caterham, etc. etc. From the original order :- - Storage box - 4x20litre - Long aluminium ramps (2.5m) suitable for low Caterham - High level tyre rack (need to bolt it back on!). Padlocks and wire. - High capacity jockey wheel - Centre decking - Security - integral locking coupling head - Ratchet tensional straps (these have had a lot of use, but are still serviceable) - Motorcycle slot fitting Bit hard to work out a fair price, but I'd rather avoid ebay for this sort of thing. I'll get some pictures tomorrow when I pick it up. £1100?
