jonboylaw
A quick one for you lot. I am just switching from Gaz front shocks to a set of AVO units I recently acquired. I am running 300lb/inch (cross-flow engine) fronts. The springs I have are about 3/4" too long for the AVO dampers, even with the adjuster plate wound right down. Should I use a spring compressor to fit the springs or buy shorter springs? If I fit them using a compressor, will I be able to adjust the ride height as they will be at max length.. I am thinking that I should be buying shorter springs.. but where from (cost is an issue at the moment) Cheers, Jonathan My Flickr ----------------------------------- 95% there :) 92 Supersprint, Ford LSD LA, RK AX Crossflow. Shad
I think shorter springs would be the right solution. Faulkners from Merlin are about £20 each so not too bad. Simon niknak.org
jonboylaw
Thanks Simon, I was thinking the same, probably shift to 5 inches.
