Paul McKenzie
Just got round to replacing my battery for 3rd or 4th time in 15 years. I have no problem with this as I don't take care of it during the Winter..but the price now ...£96 from an official Banner distributor vs £46 last time I bought one is obviously affected by the Euro/£ exchange rate. Ended up ordering from Ebay here ..great price, delivery within 2 days. Very happy, but you do have to fill the battery yourself with the acid kit supplied... and you must do this properly and safely... if you are able to do this, then it's strongly recommended, but don't try it if you' don't feel competent to handle corrosive liquids ]here Edited by - Paul McKenzie on 1 Apr 2010 20:29:

Tony Whitley
Ah, but then you don't get to play the mad professor with the gloves and the safety glasses and the smoke and stuff I was told the price was affected by a jump in the price of lead. jakeandlizzy
Definitely go with the fill yourself type. I just replace my GSXR battery and had to do the same...basically, just plunge a set of plastic tubes filled with fluid and wait a few minutes and seal it up. I you can remove a standard air filter, then this will be easy. I did mine without rubber gloves, but hey, the sun was shining and I didn't have time to waste.
