Trev G
Looking for a bit of advice as to what clutch to go for.The engine ( K series ) will have around 250 bhp with the new Quaife sequential and carbon prop. Using the standard R500 flywheel am I correct in thinking that I need a 7 1/4" clutch ? I want to keep it cable operated and the car is used solely for hillclmbs/sprints so also not sure what type of plates to go for ?? Any advice much appreciated. taffyracer
where did you get the CF prop from? C7 YUM
Simon.Rogers1
Trev - The usual uprated AP racing clutch as fitted to R300/R400/R500 and I believe most of the later K's will be fine IMHO. Nearly all of us who sprint use this clutch configuration including myself with a sequential box.
Trev G
Hi Taffy , I got the prop from RIF and it is the CTG one. Its a pity that its hidden under the car as it really is a work of art. Cheers Simon , I thought that I would need some fancy twin plate set up to reduce the inertia etc ,but if youve found the AP one up to the job then I will just renew whats in already, although its probably only done a couple of hundred miles. Many thanks. Trev
Jason Plato
a more optimal solution with far less inertia would be a nice small 5.25 " clutch and fly to match.
