Adrian Williams
Not for the Seven it doesn't have a windscreen. My new but used everyday car has what looks like a poor windscreen repair. There's an oval patch 40mm x 25mm that has some clear area's in the centre but the edge of it appears to have a load of tiny scratches in it which give a frosted appearance at certain angles. I'm thinking that they'd polish out with the right level of abrasion, Autoglym glass polish doesn't touch it but can anyone recommend something that would do the job 🤔 Adrian

George C
Frost sell a glass polishing kit for around £ 20. I have tried this kit and it works very well although it has its limits and you need to take care.
Adrian Williams
Thanks both. George, I've found it in the Frosts catalogue what were the 'limits' you found. Adrian

Terry Field
Rob Just picked up on your comment about the use of BRASSO on clear plastic. Does it work for the sidescreens and are there any risks? Terry 1700XF - Team Lotus with flares.

Adrian Williams
Thanks Rob but I can now confirm that BRASO doesn't touch it. ☹️ Thanks Chris, I see one pack is enough for 7,200 square inches which will leave 7,198 spare 😬 I'll look into it but might finish up buying the 'kit' from Frosts. chrisddl
ADRIAN, I had a few scratches in a windscreen, but rather than attempt it myself, I took it to a windscreen place near Chobham Surrey. I think is was named ''The school rooms windscreens''. They polished them out for about £60. ChrisL
Adrian Williams
Thanks Chris, I was going to check out my insurance cover before I did anything anyway. It just seems a bit unfair to present them with a bill for a defect that was on the car when I bought it (but hadn't noticed it). The supplying dealer is 150 miles away so taking it back isn't worth the hassle. Adrian

Normans_Ghost
I used to use jewellers rouge. You have to be careful but it would remove wiper scratches. Not sure if you can still get it though Norman Verona, 1989 BDR 220bhp, Reg: B16BDR, Mem No 2166, the full story here You and your seven toThe French Blatting Company
