simonpa
I've been offered a car that was SVA'd several years ago, but never registered. Am I still able to register it using this old SVA certificate, or wll it need to be IVA'd (again)? TIA - Simon

F355GTS
Jonty Are you sure, I'm pretty certain there was a 6 Month limit on an SVA I did although this was back in 2004 Mark
paulyb
I'm with Mark - ISTR 6 months also
PaulCo
Having recently bought a BaT car, I have contacted DVLA to enquire about registration, and they said that the original documents were OK, but of course, I would need to get it MOT'd first. I'm still collecting lamps and brackets, and sorting wiring and relays, so I won't be able to test this out just yet. Paul
paulyb
That's good. Maybe the 6 months I was thinking was for a re-test
MattF
Don't know if there's a 6 month limit or not but I do know that SVA certificates are only valid until 31st Dec 2009. After that date only IVA certificates will be able to be used to register a car.
