DMorris
Hi, I am after a CSR260 diff case or complete diff (LSD or open) as I have suffered the diff support bracket failure. Cheers Dean
paul jacobs
Dean that's tough luck 😔 did it break after the factory upgrade [steel spacers instead of ali] or hadn't that been done? As far as the diff. casing goes, why not just ring around a few breakers yards and get one from an old Sierra, then send it off to a specialist to have your original CWP built into it? DMorris
I'd only had the car 4 weeks, first track day at Oulton Park, 4th session and Snap! No idea if it had had the modification - was there a recall on the older cars to have the modification carried out? It is at caterham so am awaiting their report. cheers Dean
paul jacobs
Yes, there was a recall, and a couple of other owners have had the same problem. They sent out a set of steel spacers, and I got the local agent [Millwoods] to fit them free. it's quite an arduous job to. Is your car an early one, say 2005/06? If so it would probably have needed to be done. Paul J.
7 wonders of the world
Since your only up the road give Steve a call at SP Components in Redditch he'll be able to sort a casing and rebuild your old one into it no problem. DMorris
thanks for that, but it's sat at CML awaiing the arrival of the Titan LSD, diff rebuild and chassis tube repair at Arch - Ugh! not quite what I wanted within the first month of ownership - hey ho! The Pikey
Any 7" sierra diff would do. You can pick a 3.62 or 3.92 up for 20 quid sometimes on EBay. jason
