Titanium7
The manual sstates the uprights should move freely. Mine are torqued up to the correct settings but I would not not describe their movement as free moving. The are slightly stiff to move. Have I done something wrong? Area Representative Richard Price Posted June 13, 2009 Area Representative Share Posted June 13, 2009 If the car is on aclw stands and the suspension is a at full droop, then the rubbers on the top ball joints are likely to provide some resistance. Do they feel tight, or is there a metalic binding feeling?
Titanium7
Car on stands, and steering rack not yet fitted. Hubs twist from side to side with a small amout of resistance. Wondered if something is too tight? Latest build manual also suggest to torque up top and bottom wishbones at this stage as access is limited when car on its wheels. Beverlonian
Don't want to sound numpty but if your moving the rack there will be some resistance. I also remember the manual saying that you only fully torque so many of the upright fixings when the car is stood on the ground. Andy EDIT - MUST TYPE QUICKER and not watch TV! Myles
Hubs twist from side to side with a small amout of resistance. They are not going to spin like a top. If there is any graunchy resistance - anything uneven, anything less than smove - I'd worry. But if it's OK with 'a little resistance' - I'd not get excited.
