Ital Axle shiuld have a thread.

I replaced one not so long ago, the last owner changed the axle but broke the breather in the process.

Hi all,

Whether you put a carch tank on the end or not just remember it must be able to vent to atmosphere or it could force oil past the seals. I've enlarge the threaded hole (not absolutely necessary) then have an open end pipe running up to the boot floor level and back down to the lower chassis tube, to allow it to breath but not have oil forced out on heavy corner loads. works fine for me.

Cheers

Looking at the breather on my Ital axle is nothing like yours Chris. Best can be described as a piece of plastic tube about 4" long which seems to be fitted from inside the axle tube unlike the 'threaded' version you have.
