mav Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 The rover / mg factory addressed the problem by putting the steel dowels (origianlly specified but rejected on cost) and a new gasket design. Caterham will not have taken your engine to bits to fit this unless you've had a problem. All EU3 cars (mid to late 2000) onwards should have had the steel dowels fronm the off.
