What is it with Caterham & rubber. Rover K series.

Just changed the rad hoses & now noticed that the engine bay flexible fuel hose that connects to the fuel rail is covered in cracks.

Can't find on the Caterham site, any idea how much they are ?

I'm not sure that you can with it being *high* pressure. On the existing hose there is a crimp at each end, one end being a rover casting/ flange that meets the plastic fuel rail,... the other end I think accepts the flared pipe from the tunnel.

Just cut through the clip on each end with a junior hacksaw -very easy, not as thick as they look. Both end fittings are designed to go into rubber hose, jubilee clips are perfectly fine. Much cheaper than a new hose from CC and you can make it a bit longer if needed (e.g. if you have throttle bodies and the pipe is exiting upwards).

...do keep checking it after replacement.. I paid Pirtek £17 to fix mine and the hose they used perished in less than 8 months.. they assured me it was suitable for unleaded!!!! I've since done the DIY halfords/motor store route and check it's condition regularly.
