Ferrino
I am putting the 7 into "hibernation" for about 6 months or so (garaged) and was wondering what your tips are on avoiding problems with being laid up for so long? It's a carbed R1 BEC if that makes a difference. I guess I want to be giving the carbs a good draining/cleanup, in order to avoid jets etc. getting blocked with old fuel? Many thanks! blade_runner
Try and use as much fuel from the tank before storage, Maybe, pop it on Axle stands, maybe remove the plugs and squirt a little oil in each cylinder 'Pinky Pics' here
Pezky
Plenty of mouse traps. Little b****rs cost me a fortune last year. Made sure the garage door seals better this year.
Paul McKenzie
Personally, although I know nothing about BECS , I would not drain the carbs . What could you possibly gain by removing an excellent solvent (petrol) and then allowing the residues to dry out solid in the jets Paul

RichardUSA
Whatever fuel remains you should use something like this producthere so the fuel doesn't go 'off'. I've use it for years on my bike. The one season I didn't I regreted it as it was a pain in the 🙆🏻 to get going.
