RiF
Most customers have not had a problem but one or two have if the cage is very tight to the bodywork. They have reduced the leg length a bit and fitted it directly to the scuttle. Mark Durrant
Richard Anderson has an Rif aeroscreen with an SLR cage on his car however, we did need to trim it down to fit. I chose to fit a Mog screen as this did not require any modification. Mark D Comp Sec
I reply to every thread
Thanks - I already have Richard's screen so am hoping that it will fit with the cage going on at the end of this month.
MikeE
How old's your chassis? Mine's a 2004 and the front of the cage attaches to the chassis boss just below the scuttle, I think sometime before this it attached above this point, to the scuttle, in which case it's more likely to foul the aero (maybe ) Oh and your response to the first reply was a bit harsh - bad day in the salon? Irrelevant
MikeE . . .there are 2 SLR cages . . . the original (made by Safety Devices), which mounts THROUGH the scuttle. And the current s3 one (made by Caged) that mounts UNDER the scuttle. You have the latter (and better design IMO). Aves has the earlier, as does Richard Anderson IIRC, so there's a good chance Aves will need to fettle his aeroscreen a bit.

neil.cavanagh
are we sure it is an SLR cage? The Safety Devices RoadSport cage is has 'curved' bars in the top of it.... As Aves hasn't expreslly said it is an SLR cage maybe it is a roadsport? Though 'full' could be taken to mean SLR I guess. Still assumption being the mother of all cock-ups and all thast... I reply to every thread
& it is an early, hoopy, curved bar, safety devices, slr cage - very rare and desirable Sir ,I'm told (by the vendor)
tricky dicky
If you are buying the cage from Tony Caterham its a Safety Devices version. It came via Len Unwin. Regards Rich
