Aves,

I saw Howard R's Fireblade car yesterday and this has a RIF aero and curved SLR cage on it *thumbup*

How old's your chassis?

Mine's a 2004 and the front of the cage attaches to the chassis boss just below the scuttle, I think sometime before this it attached above this point, to the scuttle, in which case it's more likely to foul the aero (maybe *confused*)

Oh and your response to the first reply was a bit harsh - bad day in the salon?

MikeE . . .there are 2 SLR cages . . . the original (made by Safety Devices), which mounts THROUGH the scuttle. And the current s3 one (made by Caged) that mounts UNDER the scuttle.

You have the latter (and better design IMO). Aves has the earlier, as does Richard Anderson IIRC, so there's a good chance Aves will need to fettle his aeroscreen a bit.

are we sure it is an SLR cage?

The Safety Devices RoadSport cage is has 'curved' bars in the top of it.... As Aves hasn't expreslly said it is an SLR cage maybe it is a roadsport?

Though 'full' could be taken to mean SLR I guess. Still assumption being the mother of all cock-ups and all thast...
