Martin S.
Do you use a fuel pressure regulator with a manifold vacuum connection? I’ve seen recommendations that this is the way to go to help keep the pressure constant. Also what diameter fuel hoses do you have from: LP pump to swirl pot Swirl pot to HP pump HP pump to fuel rail Return back to swirl pot Class 4 Zetec
DohNut
The manifold pressure line on the regulator is most often used for forced induction where it varies the fuel pressure, ramping it up in line with the boost pressure. This gives a better chance of maintaining reasonable injector sizes/duration both at idle and full boost N
Mark Durrant
Martin The fuel pressure regulator vacuum on my R500 is not connected to the inlet manifold and goes to atmosphere. Nifty
As Mark on my R400. What you do have is an air pressure sensor that measures the ambient air pressure (or rather, the ambient air pressure under the bonnet). Keep off the straight and narrow 😬

tiddy1
Martin I run with throttle bodies on the k-series, I have no LP pump No swirl pot, just the tank mounted HP pump, single pressure regulator in supply line, with vacuum open to atmosphere, works fine for 210 bhp Simon
