Delberts Wallet
What is the 'normal' way off fitting a Tillet seat that doesn't have runners fitted? Do you just bolt it to the floor? or do you pack it up a bit so its the same height as the drivers one?
Myles
There are fixed 'runners' available... 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 Alcester Racing 7s Equipe™ 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 Alcester-Racing-Sevens.com
Myles
Personally, if I wanted to mount the tillet direct to the floor, I wouldn't want to pack it - the likelihood is that you will introduce shear movement and this will eventually rip the captive nuts out of the seat. If you bolt the seat to a runner of some desciption (maybe just some flat ali/steel strip) and then bolt *that* to the floor with some packing...? The fixed 'runners' are still the best idea, I reckon. Ferrino
But doesn't the underside of the Tillett seat have a bulge in it, which would touch the floor before the start of the captive nuts? Not sure, never tried it myself. Yamaham @ Keevil
blade_runner
Ferrino is correct, a tillet does have a bulge in the bottom, you will need to pack the mounts away from the floor. 'Pinky Pics' here
Delberts Wallet
I'm going to CC mids anyway tomorrow so I'll see if they've got some fixed 'runners'. Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
