MartinWoodham
yeah, its a car ad alright - description is of a car, not a photo. Sounds dodgy though - car 400 of a limited run of 399? really? And I'm quite sure Ferrari had some contracturals about not reselling. Bet the ad gets pulled in a day or so. Wile7
Sent to flog it Ltd or what have you.....be interesting to see what they come back with "Dear sir/madam. As a collector of certain marques I am following with interest your Enzo on the auction site Ebay. Could you advise as to the status of the accompanying paperwork with the vehicle? Will the new owner be able to claim the Ferrari servicing schedule as offered on new Enzos i.e. will the vehicle be registered in the owners name from new? The car is not pre registered? I just wish to check that this sale (or possibly my purchase) does not contravene Ferrari’s 'no resale' policy after initial purchase of an Enzo. Also could you advise on shipping costs to Toulouse in France please? Many thanks in advance for your help on this matter" Wile, you are a bad, bad naughty boy....... *eek* 😬 Dave Ardley. Leadership Team RogNeedham Posted September 12, 2006 Leadership Team Share Posted September 12, 2006 find it difficult to believe that anyone owning such a vehicle would entrust its sale to a company called 'flogit4u' - the marketing consultants worked hard on that one
zak
Yup Rog, you are right. I am still with Timbo on this one. I reckon it will be a very, very expensive framed print ❗ Zak www.zak7.com
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted September 13, 2006 Area Representative Share Posted September 13, 2006 Reading the advert makes for an awfully convincing sale of a real car though. I happened to be looking at an advert for a VW Polo that was sold yesterday and this Flogit4U company apparently sold that car with the winning bid of around £2k. Tom_C
ebay just seems a strange selling platform for such an expensive car... Roger Ford
If it's a scam they must have spent a long time building up their nearly 3000 feedback. Flogit4u are an agency selling stuff on ebay for a cut of the sale price. I guess it's quite possible that someone is scamming them, but I imagine they would check it out pretty carefully. So my vote is that it's genuine.
