bobt
I want to replace my carbon dash for a new one as many of the switches etc are no longer used and I'd like to adjust the layout. How the hell is it held on ? I can't see any fixings but its stuck solid. I assume it must be stuck with mastic of something similar. If thats the case, is the only way to remove it fairly destructive ? Thanks Rob
davef
I haven't removed mine (yet ) - though it needs replacing as there is some damage (and I think I'll want to change the layout). Simon Lambert commented on it last yesr - basically implied it was a bit of a bugger to change as it was bonded on. So yes I think "only way to remove it fairly destructive" Dave
Normans_Ghost
Rob, when you do get if off and are putting a new one on why not do as I have done and velcro it on. I use velcro tabs on the bottom and top rails. On both sides where the flitch plates come down I have put switches through. On the drivers side is the battery switch and on the passenger side is a map light switch (innrads from reversing light). Maje working behind dash a doddle. I.Mupferit
I believe it is bonded on with silicone sealant which can make it a complete 🙆🏻 to remove. ☹️ Brent 2.3 DURATEC SV Reassuringly Expensive R 417.39 😬
