Mrb00ns
Hi,just looking at my winter jobs. Unfortunately my car was victim to a curious fox in 2021 who chewed up the handbrake gaiter and a bit of the tunnel. It's almost ignorable but getting up my list of things 'to do'. I appreciate this isn't the sort of thing one normally has lying around, but on the off-chance does anyone have a spare whole tunnel cover / top for a 2013 S3 (ford 5 speed box)? ThanksChris
Area Representative paul richards Posted December 31, 2021 Area Representative Share Posted December 31, 2021 Beware. There are several different tunnel tops. Not all for type 9 box are the same. It depends on the engine. Some engines are set further back. The gap between the hole for the handbrake and the hole for the gearstick varies. e.g. if you fit a Sigma top to a K series you cannot engage second, fourth and sixth. Ask me how I know. How bad is the damage? I would suggest contacting Oxted to see if it can be repaired.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted December 31, 2021 Leadership Team Share Posted December 31, 2021 Chris, as Paul says, get in touch with Oxted. My car had quite a badly damaged vinyl tunnel cover, I sent it to Oxted and after they'd re-trimmed it in leather it looked like new.Stu.
