K series fuel supply

Does a 1996 1.6 K series have a relay for the fuel pump?

There is a pin out on the ECU but my handbook doesn't show a relay fitted.

My car won't start as the fuel pump isn't working but the pump itself is okay

(I've checked the fuse and bypassed the inertia switch)

Many thanks

I'll look,

Do you mean under the dash passenger side?

I have 4 relays there, horn, hazard, flasher & lights

What's a MFRU?

Or do you in the engine bay, physically under the ECU?

I unbolt the ECU and there it is.

Excuse my ignorance on this!

The pump runs when its given its own test feed and earth?

Any recent work on the car?

Can you hear any clicks when you turn the ignition ON?

Then I'd test whether it's the feed or earth that has a problem.

Disconnect the pump from its connectors. Ignition ON. With a multimeter test in the car side of the connector whether you have 12 V on the appropriate pin and a good earth on the other.

Please let me know if you'd like any wiring diagrams.

Thanks

I've done just that

Disconnected the connector at the rear.

Fed pump 12V, it works

Ignition on  no 12V at the connector.

Trying to establish why not.

If you have an engine loom diagram for a Mems 1.9 that would be great please
