So who won in class 2???? I'm in Vegas, and this is (un-naturally!) keeping me awake!!!!!!
  2. I need a new starter motor. Are there any options other than the standard Caterham supplied unit? If there are, what are the relative merits of the alternatives? Thanks for any info. Andy N.
  3. Thanks - please put me down to attend plus a camping pitch (well, somebody's got to show the tough northerners that not all southerners are poooovs 😳) Very generous offer - thanks very much Andy N.
  4. 5 X 14" Minator wheels (approx 4 years old supplied new by Caterham) VGC, with Yokohama A539 tyres (1 unused) - £250; 4 X 13” Yokohama A539 tyres (185/60/13)– scrubbed for sprinting but plenty of tread left - £40; (Provisionally sold to Adrian, 2nd dibs to Gary). Pair of Seven Accessories Mirrors (the type that clip onto the windscreen stanchions) - £35 (provisionally sold to Geoff, 2nd dibs to Vinnie). Complete exhaust (for a k, 4:1 short primaries with integral catalytic converter), including manifold - £185. All of the above are available for collection this coming Saturday and Sunday from Curborough sprint course (or 2 September from Aintree). First dibs on here and cash on collection secures. 5. I'll be there - beer 'n bangers at the ready Andy N.
  6. Straight from the showroom / crate............ .....surely the factory never had the gall to sell one with a set of Carlos Fandango wheels and tyres 😬 😳 Andy N.
  7. It's still there - makes a nice change for me to come away from a hill without a . No doubt you lot will be doing your best to turn my into a on Saturday. The grin was more about feeling satisfied with the run than the actual win - that's one of the very few runs I've ever done where almost everything I set out to do actually happened the way I intended. Don't worry - it won't last.......... Andy N.
  8. Dan Unfortunately Mark won't be available for Bubba tonight - he's tending the needs of a couple of elderly Gent's 😬 😬 😬 Andy N.
  9. So it looks like bbq and beer tonight then - a fine balanced diet. I'm aiming to arrive at about 6 'ish. See y'all later. Andy N.
  10. I'll be camping it up on Friday night. Any plans for a BBQ or trip to a pub? Mark - if the conditions turn foul on Friday night you'd better turn your mobile off, just in case I should feel the need for a 3am conversation about the weather 😬 😬
  11. Dan - is that drivers excuse #72 *tongue*Be careful not to glaze them when you bed them in (apparantly it's easily done). I suggest a few long hard applications of middle peddle down the never ending straights on Saturday afternoon - that'll get them bedded in nicely 😬 Andy N.
  12. Thanks Gents. Very sporting of you both. Now to find a way of keeping in front of the rest of class 2.......... Andy N.
  13. Anyone got a plan of the course layout (or better still any in car video) for this saturday's event? Andy N.

Thanks to Simon & Mark for arranging a great weekend. Brilliant venue - general concensus appeared to be that we'd like to return (despite the long haul home for many of us). The light shower and breezy conditions on Saturday night made camping an interesting experience - practice that sun dance Mr Rogers Andy N.
  15. I agree with all the positive sentiments . Would love to go back, but.....cake and eat it time........... The only "negative" for me was that all of our usual chums couldn't get entries. The inclusive nature of our championship and the cameraderie that it generates are fundamental to a lot of people's participation. I'm sure we all recognise how prestigious this venue is, and to a large degree we have to take what we're offered (and lucky to get that), but if there's any way of pulling the proverbial rabbit out of the hat so that we can get sufficient entries for all, things would be perfect. I know that's a big ask, so I guess we'll all have to keep our expectations to realistic levels, but worth a thought..... Andy N.
  16. You've been busy - as you seem to be on a bit of a roll, any chance of some brolly dollies 😬 😬 Andy N
  17. I'm sure we can all think of a few headlines that might be (in)appropriate 😬: "Local drivers trounced by opposition" "Octogenarian competitors prove you're never too old to drive a Caterham" You get the gist. Any more........ Andy N.
  18. WANTED Caterham MEMS ECU. EU3 Supersport for a 2002 1800 K series. Also looking for the immobiliser plippers. Anyone got one gathering dust? Andy N.
  19. Thanks to all who helped make the day a success by giving your time and expertise (and at your own cost) - all very generous indeed *thumbup* The participants all seemed to be very pleased with the day, and I think we'll have a few new competitiors out to play soon. I also enjoyed myself - thanks for the drives and rides in the various cars (Simon - your car was always quick, but jeeeeeeeeez, that thing is now pure evil. I can honestly admit to feeling just a little queezy after our 3 lapper 😳). Changing up mid corner while drifting sideways was also a new experience for me 😬 See you all soon. Andy N
  20. Weather forecast actually looking very nice for tomorrow - 20 degrees and partial sun I've just emptied my garage and found even more bits and bobs, inc pair of standard track top and bottom wishbones, front ARB (red), wheels, tyres, heater, Bilstein spring/damper units, freestyle springs and a pair of chrome headlights. We've got a very interesting collection of cars and drivers lined up for the passenger runs, catering, ice cream van, bouncy castle, face painter and a marquee for a bit of shade (but unfortunately no Regalia). Hope to see lots of you there. Andy.
