  6. Hi Sandboy, Yes, it has the pockets and cage cut outs. I've just come back in the house with a handful of goodies from my garage, so I'll stick the bits in the for sale section. You obviously have first dibs on the tonneau if you still fancy it and I'll not sell it till you let me know.
  7. Think I may have one in the garage that I never used, will check this afternoon and post back this evening if anyones interested.
  8. Hey, it's a brilliant bit of kit, use it all the time throughout the Summer getting to and from the golf course (when it works that is ☹️) I won it on a works draw so not bad for nothing 😬 See you tomorrow you missed a good evening loads of us practising
  9. No checks yet, going to get my mate round with his meter. Stupid thing is after stripping it all down to get to internals I re assembled to test, now I have to strip it all over again
  10. Didn't get anywhere with the cleaning as it's a bit confusing in there. 😳 Pulled apart quite a few connectors to make sure they have a tight fit and cleaned as much as I could but all to no avail ☹️ Anyway the battery is at full charge and the scooter runs up to full speed when it's on the centre stand. As soon as you drop it onto it's rear wheel, or worse still sit on it, it just stutters and won't go at all. Could the battery be at fault as it only seems to effect the scooter under load
  11. I have a Flex Tech Eco flash 2000 Electric Scooter that has been in the garage for nearly three months now. Decided to get it out today and give it a run, it came straight on and had full charge but was very hesitant and would not accelerate past 20kph. It kept stuttering at that speed for the first 600 mtr's then all of a sudden fully accelerated up to it's normal 45kph and ran fine after that. Any electricians give me a heads up? Going to strip down the panels and have a look at the motor, presently thinking about a dodgy capacitor or contact switch but not very good with electrics. 12. Kenny, try a link to this thread here It worked for me when I found old stuff in my cellar I couldn't even remember having. Sold it all with in the week, albeit I had a few sarcastic remarks about advertising etc. If you want me to do the link so your not involved let me know 🤔 Obviously it's not the for sale board but as I said before it worked for me in the Mercedes section. 13. Myles, you have a bike engine in your Westie yes?? Reason I ask is I had similar problems today (outside temp over 32c) with my Cat Busa. Pressure seemed fine when driving but dropped to 11psi when stopped at the lights and my oil temp was at 78c. I recently did an oil change (a couple of months ago) and have not driven the car much since, so wondering if there was an need to bleed the dry sump after emptying it? Also had an issue with the oil cooler as I couldn't remember which way I had taken it off and if it was possible to put it on the wrong way around By the way the drive was only about 50 km and never went over half rev's. Do you think there could be an issue there and if so any thoughts on what to check? Sorry, edited to apologise for the thread highjack Edited by - Tony Wright on 27 Jul 2012 16:11:54

    Racecar

Is it a SL280, or a 280SL 🤔 the 1997 bit would hint at it being the first one.
  15. Thank's Paul, done and dusted now (although cacking myself when I started her) with no obvious leaks
  16. Finished my oil change and removed about 6 litres of oil (fitted with a Pace dry sump). Been informed it will need 7ltrs to fill it properly, but I have filled the dry sump tank with 4ltrs and can't get any more in . So far I have bumped the car in gear and turned her over very briefly with the HT leads removed and still the oil has not dropped Wondering if there is an air lock and if I should slacken off one of the pipes at the base of the sump 🤔 Anyone have any suggestions please Dare not start engine as I know there is no oil in there as it's all sitting in the dry sump tank Edited by - tony wright on 9 Jun 2012 15:16:28
  17. When you say ultimate gravity will win, how long does this mean? I've put 4ltr in the dry sump tank and over 15 min's it has not moved and I've still got to put in another 3ltr's Trouble is I don't want to take it off the stands until I have it running so I can check for leaks and dare not turn it over until I have replaced all of the 7 ltr's.
  18. Thanks Guy's. Tony, thanks for your kind offer but I'm back in UK tomorrow for the day, so will hopefully find time to get to a Halfords. Really wanted to get the car back on the road today while the sun's shining Edited by - Tony Wright on 5 Jun 2012 14:09:10
  19. My previous thread mentions my oil change but eXtreme engines have sent the wrong oil filter They sent a Hiflofiltro HF138 but unfortunately my car has a Pace dry sump and a Mocal oil cooler with a sandwich plate installed for the filter, this means the threads are the wrong size ☹️. I have removed the old filter which is a Halfords HOF203, but as I live in Germany trying to find a replacement for the HOF203 is proving near on impossible . Any recommendations for a replacement filter 🤔 Or what the car the Halfords filter was for 🤔
  20. Hi Stu, long time no talk, how's the SV going? Wont be long before I'll be visiting Koln as my daughter will be working there from August. She will be the PE teacher at the Koln International school, St Georges. Just finishing my oil change, although I have done it in my garage The Pela will be my next purchase, although as I mentioned earlier I don't have a dipstick, so not sure where to use it to best effect
  21. Thanks Myles, sorry pressed the wrong button when I googled Pela extractor. Looks like my next purchase , will save a load of time and mess, where do you place the extractor pipe to syphon 🤔 Just re read your reply and understand the dry sump tank then dipstick, unfortunately mine does not have a dipstick. Oil cooler had to be removed as the in and out pipes were at the top with no drain plug. Edited by - Tony Wright on 4 Jun 2012 17:31:42 Edited by - Tony Wright on 4 Jun 2012 17:34:36
  22. Sorry in advance if the following questions seem trivial 😳 Always had the car serviced at a garage in the past but thought I would give it a go myself. Engine is a Hayabusa, fitted with a Pace dry sump and a Mocal oil cooler. So far I have removed pipe to bottom of swirl tank, both pipes at the sump, oil filter and removed the oil cooler to empty it. Emptied about, 6/7ltr's of old oil so far. 1. Would there be any other recommendations for releasing any more oil? 2. After removing the oil cooler to empty it I forgot to note which way it was fitted. Does it fit either way i.e are the two pipes, in and out specific? 3. When refilling is it best to fill via swirl tank and will the 7/8 litres I intend putting back in eventually circulate, or will I need to turnover the engine after a certain amount has been added? 4. Would it be best to fill the oil cooler up separately before I re-fit and if so would it be to the brim? Once again, sorry if you think I'm thick but don't want to cock anything up
  23. Selling for a friend, as above, the bag is black with a carrying handle/strap and has a Yellow 7 Em-blazed on it. Headlight covers are the same design (black with the same emblem). £20 + postage Edited by - tony wright on 31 May 2012 22:21:13
  24. You joining us at MSR Events then Will? Start of the Classic season tomorrow night still enough time to get a car if you fancy it
