I have a mate who bought a car (mk11 supercharged golf rallye) which was wearing 9 inch rims with 195, 40 r15s!! looked really dangerous. I have no idea how they could have possibly been seated

Ok, I've eventually made it back to cornwall and had a look at the rims. I bought them secondhand. There is no markings as to who made them that i can see anywhere?? The gaps are 55mm in diameter. Any idea what they are?? Tom The most southerly uk blatter 😬Yellow 1.6 Supersport 😬 Photos here

Got back to cornwall today and had the first drive of the seven for 3 months 😬. My dad has taken it out a couople of times to keep the battery charged. He mentioned the clutch seemed to be slipping sometimes. When i got in the clutch seemed really stiff and sure enough when pressing on a bit the clutch sometimed slipped, pretty strange as the clutch was changed last year and only done 1000miles since or so (thanks John H). Turns out the clutch cable had somehow pretty much got gunked up in the cabling and was hadly moving and keeping the clutch a bit engaged. Changed the cable (had a spare ) and its all fine again. I've checked my blocked mail settings and cannot see anything to do with blatmail or LSCGB etc (sorry not sure what email address blatmail comes through) Also even though some things are blocked - porn, viagra offers etc things should still be sent to my junk mail folder - blatmail definately doesn't arrive there (i've checked) how did you sort farmer terry? Guys, I have seen the car only once before, This is what i remember jamie told me (so i may be wrong about a few things) About a year ago. It had done about 1500miles then i think. He bought it from caterham (i think!!) When i had a look it was i great condition and he had just come back from a trip to the 'ring (you can see the sticker on the back). I think the car hasn't been abused. It looked v cherrished to me. as for being crashed - i don't know but i really expect not. One point (which i am really unsure of btw) is I think i remmeber Jamie telling me that it was built for the academy series but never raced. I remember thinking it looked like a lovely car when i saw it and that was before all the carbon bits and new wheels. I hope thats some help. Sorry i don't know that much (was a long time ago i saw it!) I suggest you talk directly to Jamie. other than that i will be back in cornwall by next wed.
