Baby Bucket, I'm suprised you can't move your minno and seven together. I've found the same as Blatman, easy to push around and tows like a dream. As mentioned previously one of the biggest advantages of a minno is that it is dead easy to sell afterwards cheers Simon
  3. Being a bit new to hillclimbing my lotus Seven I was wondering whether anyone could point me to some good starting points for camber, castor and toe in/out?? Also what are the different compound numbers for the Yokohama A032R tyres?
  4. We have used Steve Harris (Harris Motorsport) in Cranbourne. Steve is an extremely experienced ex-downton guy that really does know his stuff. I'm not sure of the number off the top of my head but drop me an email if you want me to look it out. simon.clemow@broadcom.com
  5. I've got a couple of easy questions :- Is a S3 Lotus Seven the same size as a short cockpit Caterham, ie will a FIA Rollbar for a short cockpit Caterham fit my Lotus Seven? I've read recently that there are a couple of different size rear wheelarch protectors from Caterham, what's the score with these? Is it an obvious difference? How and where do you mount a timing strut to the front of a Seven? Are they prefabricated or do you just make your own? (for climbing and sprinting) Does anyone know of anywhere near Bristol that does Armourguard? cheers Simon Simon
  6. Maybe? 7857 NG is the registration, used to be a S1 but was restored as an S3 twincam. Simon
  7. Just a thought, presumably this doesn't affect older cars, I assume I will be able to run white plastic letters still on the grill of my 1960 Seven? Simon
  8. Thanks for the reply Mike, Yes I do mean the roll over bar not the cage, I'd forgotton they did a cage for them. I didn't mean adjustable wings, what I meant was how much adjustment is in them when they are put on. Mine are bolt on too, however I am assuming that with either a bit of filing, or a packing behind the bolts that I can shift it a bit to even up the sides and to stop the wing rubbing agains the tyre under hard cornering. The difference between the top of the body and the top of the wing is about 10mm between the sides. Simon
  9. Hi I've just bought a S1 Lotus Seven just restored and updated to S3 twincam spec, which I intend to use for hillclimbing and sprinting and as an occasional road car. Although not new to owning classic cars this is the first Seven I've owned. I've got a few questions concerning it. I intend to get a FIA Cage with a diagonal, where does the diagonal mount at the front, I guess through the floor onto a chassis rail? I've read a few comments about doing regular bolt checks, I assume they shake themselves loose on suspension joints etc. What in particular should I look for? How adjustable are the rear wings as one of them is mounted slightly lower on the body than the other (I'm sure the chassis isn't bent as it has done <150 miles since being rebuilt by Arch Motors.)? Also looking at it, how do you get at the distributor? It seems to be too close to the body panel even with the nose cone off? Simon
