Yes, that's what I find strange (I've already spoken with them here).

Tom - I should have the short version soon (not yet, though).

I'm about to find out - my 2.3 arrived yesterday, and my standard S3 chassis should arrive soon (not R400 specifically, though).

It seems to me that copying is rampant in the automotive world - it is the improvement part where the Japanese are truly outstanding (and consistently so).

Tom - Have you fitted the Brooklands screens yet?

Rob, Sorry I can't be of help, but I have been meaning to post a similar question for a ~200 lb/ft Duratec mated to a BGH Type 9 5-speed.

In this thread here, anthonym quotes an e-mail from Mike Barnby about refurbishing wheels which reads, in part,
"take centres out and refurbish - includes crack testing
new bolts (automatically whenever disassembled), washers and nuts (not wheel nuts!)
edit: refurb includes repaint, since it has to be blasted paint free for the crack test."
The additional cost will be well worth it for peace of mind, if nothing else, IMHO.

Tom - RiF will be supplying a narrow version aero to your area soon , but probably not soon enough, and it'll be the shorter version (I'm 5"7").

Here is Doug Liedblad's method on the California Caterham Club web page (with some photos).
edit - Looks to be the same as Ian suggested above, I believe.

You could always e-mail Jeremy Clarkson for advice. 😬

Yes, I'm in California (Northern). I go by 'Sean-og' on the CalCatClub forums, simply because that's what I was registered as on BC, before the membership thing. I look forward to seeing your car here in the next yaer or so.
Cheers.

You may already know about http://www.californiacaterhamclub.com/.

"Brooklands" screens.
If it was "Brooklyn" screens, they would sporadically say "Yo! Wadduh YOU lookin' at, muthufugga?" for no apparent reason, and they would be named "Vinnie" and "Icepick" (with the right-hand side one being Vinnie, of course).

Googled: find paint code
Over 30 million hits, but here's one here that may be helpful.
ADDED: ...provided you can locate an actual car with the paint you want.

You may want to ask on the Viper Club of America forums here if you don't want to wait. Someone there should know.

Oops! 😳

Sweet. I'm no expert, but is the tread on the fronts correctly oriented? It looks wrong to me.
(And yes, I understand it is a work in progress...)

Tom,
You must know someone who is shorter than 6'3"? Maybe a neighbo(u)r?
