What John Vine said
-
Thanks Simon
All cam inputs are VR, just the wheel speed sensors are hall on my ECUs
-
Thanks Andrew
I knew you knew and was almost certain it would be like that because of the way it's wired.
I just need to find something VR that will be adaptable to the hole in a non-VVC cam cover without having to have the connector pointing to the sky :-p.
I'm about to adapt sequential injection and other uninteresting functions to my engine using an EFI Euro 4 ECU that will accept VR sensors only.
-
Does anyone know if the cam position sensor on a non VVC engine is VR or hall effect?
-
I've searched a bit, and none of my suppliers have anything remotely like.
My advice would be to replace what you have with something more common. -
There are two different workshop notices:

and

The current crank I have in my engine had a tapered casting rather than a drilled hole. I had to mill out the center and turn a custom sleeve. I've made it to be a tight fit.

We had VW air cooled based pumps when I was a fireman. And we had a Godiva... Heavy as... and not portable at all...
-
Presumably Duratec
(But I was almost asking "Would these fit a 160?") -
7/16 UNF and it's part of a EU directive, so it won't change. It also is in German cars like the VAG group.
-
shame, I've got what I believe is a live axle one, though it fits an '87 dedion - work that one out if anyone can ....
Sounds right to me

LIght rain is where it's comes to it's right.

Be careful not to reverse polarity on the heating element. If you do so, you may end up with a frozen screen.
Or is there something I'm missing?
-
It can also be one of the valve spring caps being about to give up. Beware!

There's a collection of assembly guides (with wiring diagrams) here:

If you're not up to electrickery, then I suggest you leave it with someone who is. You can ultimately cause fire if you get it wrong.
-
The hazard light wouldn't turn off the DRL, and I don't know the internal function of the swich, so I can't just tell what to do.
Are you able to read a wiring diagram?
-
I suspect it has some value, but I wouldn't bid unless I knew you were OK with an off-your-shores bidder ;-)
-
I might be interested in the plug cover - but would you send it to Denmark - or to an English friend wherefrom I'll be able to collect at some point?
-
Not /that/ simple, but...
If you let the switch on the dash operate a two pole relay where one pole turns off the DRL and the other operates the indicator as the switch would originally have done, then you're sorted.
-
First I'd try Andrews suggestion. If that does not work, then Ians.

As per above: Anthony doesn't need it. Sorry for the interuption.

You may want to add that the car was first registered March 1999 ;-)
Looks like a bargain to me.
