  4. Well I've finally got around to seeing the spotty yoofs at PC World to buy a new PC so am back on BC . What's been happening for the past few months? Is our esteemed Comp Sec still rotund (is that a requirement of the job, btw!!?), has Dannyboy's new lady followed her predecessor and nicked his car? Is TM still a TM? Has DJ got 300bhp yet? Has Adam got more than 300 yards on the clock of the beast yet? Are all of the saga boys still on the right side of the turf? I haven't been anywhere near Blatchat for months (combination of sulking through the off season, hibernation and earning a crust), but imagine my glee on seeing this thread on my return - excellent, nowt's changed and I haven't missed a thing 😬 😬 😬 Looking at the issue rather parochially, Class 2 proved to be a fairly level playing field last year with a good mixture of cars that had a decent chance of honours. Thanks for the kind words Mike S and Graham P - but it's worth pointing out that my times were beaten by drivers of Class 1 cars more than once. It's not all about the car. Even an octogenarian pedalist of a Ford powered bath chair snatched a trophy position from me at Llandow 😬. And that still hurts 'cos I couldn't go any quicker!!! And before you say a word Mr S, I've got a lovely photo of you and ijk with warm knees at Brands!! Anyway chaps - happy new year. Looking forward to catching up with you all in April to resume the general pi$$ taking and tomfoolery. Oh, and for the record, my car really was a bog standard 1.8SS (with the exception of an uprated master cylinder) last year.     Thank you both for your helpful contributions 😬 😬 I knew I could rely on you 2 for a bit of support!! Richard, you might not have noticed any difference - but we bloody well have!! As Mark says - it's a K series 4-2-1 i'm after (ideally just primaries AND collector, but would also consider complete system).   13. Lydden is too far and too early (read too cold!) for all those lightweight northerners 😬. Actually, to be fair, it also seems too far and too cold for most lightweight southerners too. Lets hope any additional events take place below the arctic circle (ie Watford).   14. Dave J - were you on the pop early this evening 😬 😬 BB - Thanks for your clarification - that's good enough for me and it makes things very clear. Having "competed" in class 4 last year, I don't want to go back there with 140bhp. I can't be arsed to argue about the 52mm TB issue in relation to 1.8 K's, because I doubt it makes that much difference anyway. I've done OK in class 2 this year, but i've had to work bloody hard for it against a 1.6k and an X-flow. The class seems to work well (at least from my perspective), so I hope it's not going to be spoilt by anyone who's intent on winning a hollow victory with silly mods that belong elsewhere.   15. Graham P - if we're going to have rules, they need to be clear. We haven't needed a technical steward yet, and i see no need for one in the future. The sentiment of what BB has articulated is clear - all we're doing now is detailed clarification in relation to specific upgrades. I see where you're coming from with regard to some of the upgrades being impossible to see from the outside, but these questions still need answering. The fact that an upgrade may be difficult to police should not affect whether the Comp Sec rules it in or out - this is grass roots motorsport, and I for one would be happy with a gentlemans (or ladies!) agreement.
