I am selling my Caterham Classic Sprint - spec as follows: Long Cockpit - Traditional ali+BRG flared wings - nosecone with 7 grill logo 1600 xflow twin 40 webers Alumium high capacity radiator Rear exit exhuast 4 speed/live axle 13" caterham supplied minators with AO21's (including spare) New design caterham cloth seats/head rests Caterham 4 pt harnesses Full weather gear+new type doors Hood bag Fire ext QR momo wheel. Tax end 07, MOT end June 08 Registered in June 1988 and aquired by me in April 2001 having only covered 747 miles from new (crazy I know but true) now has 7565 as of today. Bundles of history/receipts/original Caterham documentation/MOTS etc etc This car was a dream come true for me and it is fair to say a real find. It is in truely fantastic condition (concours class winner at Stoneleigh 2003 and well looked after since) I can mail pictures but in the meantime you can see the car in Nov 06 Low flying pages 15 top right and 16 top left. Also if interested I have 2 new front BRG wings which I purchased in case of damage, spare yellow nose cone to change the look of the car + other spares applicable to the car/spec as part of the deal Needless to say a list of 'spec' is no substitute for veiwing.... In order to meet the latest Caterham approved insurance I am required to fit a Thatcham Cat 2 Immobiliser. My Caterham is an older model (no fancy trickery or electronics) Can anyone recommend a suitable unit? Thanks - Andy

I have a 1988 LA LC 1600cc XF Caterham 7 which is fitted with a standard 4 speed gearbox and standard diff. I was thinking of an upgrade to 5 speed. Is this a relatively easy ungrade? I was told once that a chassis mod is required!!!! Any advice would be appreciated..........cheers. Andy

1 x DCOE webber 45 complete with trumpets, filter fixings, 90deg fuel union - can advise venturi, main+idle jet, e/tube details if needed £100 (have an inlet manifold if needed also) 1 x 7 vented bonnet alum finish - no dents - rear catch drilling on nearside could be better, though very serviceable £45 1 x 6 vented bonnet alum finish - never fitted - still has plastic covering/original box - very slight handling/storage damage at Caterham - scuttle edge/corner nearside - would not notice if painted - only just as plain alum £45 1 x luggage rack £20 1 x bench seat set from my LC/LA removed from car at around 800 miles use - very small tear 4-5mm in rear rest - easy repair £50ono 1 x single K&N air filter ref 56-9104 (62mm) to suit DCOE webber - never used and still boxed £20 1 x single ramflow filter to suit 45 webber - used - very serviceable £10 1 x BRG early nosecone - was damaged and partly repaired before I aquired it - would need finishing and spraying to be properly useable £offers Carriage and packing I can arrange at cost via my workplace (Europa/TNT) - collection no problem if needed - would recommend collection if interested in the bonnet(s) Any questions please give me a call on 07870 609538 or mail Cheers, Andy (Bristol)

6 louvre bonnet (without heater air intake) c/w normal side cut out for twin carbs/filters (live axle/LC) Never fitted so no catches/holes, still with protective plastic and with original packaging Bonnet has slight handling/storage damage at the scuttle end/edge/corner where the ali has been folded back on itself to get a well finished edge - this is very very minor - would not be seen if painted and still be more than useable if not. Can E-mail a digital picture if interested. £70 + C/P or buyer collects from Bristol.

Julian, I have a bench seat available - vgc - done less than 1K miles before they were removed. Would you like to make me an offer.

I did discuss such a model with a collector at a trade fair. I was told at the time they have been known to fetch as high as £700 at auction, fully built in a display case! How true or realistic this is, make your own mind up. Cheers, Andy N.
