  1. Mike Is this an in front of or behind radiator unit? Does it come with mounting / bracketry etc? Thanks Mike W
  2. Cheers Paul, Certainly don't want to sell, but needs must etc. Well with all this fine weather I'm certainly going to get as much use out of it as possible before it finds a new owner!!!
  3. Pete Image on way, please call to discuss further - no' with email. Mike
  4. Peter, Can't seem to attach a file to the email through the L7C forum - please advise actual email address so I can send through Outlook (or can anybody advise how this may be achieved via the L7C email?) Regards Mike
  5. Left home 7am yesterday morning under a cloudless sky, sun shining, did 61 miles over mainly B roads & unclassifieds, including a great run over the Marlborough Downs - car ran beautifully. Made me wonder why I was selling...until I returned to our 'new' house that requires total renovation... ☹️
  6. Caterham Seven 1.7 Supersprint, 1987(D), 5spd, De-Dion, long cockpit, 36K miles, MOT Jan 2006, Tax August 2005. Caterham Red with white noseband and bonnet stripe & black leather adjustable seats with Luke 4-point harnesses. Flared wings. Other spec includes: Limited Slip Differential Aldon Igniter electronic ignition FIA rollbar + petty strut + full rollbar padding 6” stainless steel repackable silencer High visibility side screens + Full wet weather gear inc. tonneau Interior map pocket (James Whiting) Ali’ gear knob An excellent pampered Supersprint – would make an ideal ‘on the button’ Seven for the 1st time buyer (or K-Series owner wishing to savour the unforgettable sound of twin 40’s on full song…!!!) Can be viewed in North Wiltshire, 5 mins from the M4. £8700. Picture available on request. I can be contacted via mjweller@tiscali.co.uk Edited by - MJ on 27 Mar 2005 17:03:53
  7. Thanks everyone - BS538 it was - 'Post Office Red'. Masking / Prep took the time, but all went smoothly (!!!) in the end. Side panel top edges look like new again, though not sure for how long... Anyway after a complete nightmare with adhesive removal and then all the time & trouble of getting the top edges repainted, my advice to anyone considering putting some kind of 'protective' tape / rubber / foam etc on the horizontal top edges to avoid scratching from the bonnet, is DON'T ❗ ❗ ❗
  8. As above really, anybody done any brushwork recently and happen to remember the code 🤔 Wonder if its possible to get in a spray can as I only want to do the 1" strip on top of each side panel where the bonnet sits on???
  9. Thanks Guys. Mine is a 1987 De-dion, so would the brake light switch still be under the pedal box cover??? And if its a hydraulic one will it be in the same place???
  10. The pedal that is... I remember somebody commenting on this issue in the past, but I'll be bu**ered if I can finf the thread in the Search area. Basically, unless I am stamping on the pedal (i.e. not in the wet) the rear brake lights don't illuminate. I believe there may be a nut or valve or something that can be adjusted to improve sensitivity. Any idea were it is and how I adjust???
  11. errr...how about it being viewable in the South of France??? I don't think the price is too far adrift, if at all - looks in nice shape from the pictures (though you can never tell till you start poking around). Clams (like mine ) and half paint prob don't help to get the highest price, but really I'd suggest the main problem is as stated above... ☹️
  12. So am I right in thinking that early type de-dion cars like mine were built from c.1985 to 1989, when the rear disc type / moded chassis etc came in 🤔
  13. Rob Does it come with all the bits & bobs (if any) to fit straight on to the car? I will confirm if fitment on an 87 de-dion is possible and get back to you.
  14. Could be interested - does it have ABS?
