  1. R300 k series EU2 with roller barrels running an MBE 967. So after much checking last night it appears that there is no signal from the MBE to the injectors to put fuel in. Fuel pressure all good; spark good; plugs totally dry; injector resistance checked and measured 13ohms; wiring continuity all checked OK( yellow to MBE & brown to MFRU); 1 injector checked & clicking OK; on cranking both pins on injectors have 10 volts; checked short to earth & positive all OK. And yes there is fuel in it! So, do MBEs fail? Does anybody have a wiring diagram or a PIN out diagram for an MBE967? It has foxed 4 of us - 3 of whom who know what they are on about! That's not including me! Any thoughts, diagrams, ideas gratefully receieved. Thanks
  2. I think I need to change my fuel pump as it's playing up. Am I right in thinking its in the tank? What's involved in doing this? Tank out? How easy is it? K series R300 with throttle bodies. Thanks
  3. According to on line sources the track of a 2005 Yaris is 57.9 inches & the Minno's deck is 65 inches wide so it'll be tight. Does anybody know for sure if it'll fit? (The car is not local to try)

  5. Si Sorry for the thread hijack - what are the make of the non VVC ones pls? You may recall I have had numerous misfire issues with leads. Can't help with VVC ones I'm afraid but my experience of Magnecor leads was they were awful but I know plenty us them happily. I can only assume I had a duff batch.

  7. I've still got one fitted on my car - apart from a mod when first fitted without which caused it to fail - its been spot on. I did meet Chris as I visited him to get the mod done - he lived close to where I used to work. As stated above I don't think there were that many made. Shame as they are a good piece of kit.
  8. I need 2 new front wings - so is Ultimate Carbon the best? What adhesive to secure them? I don't want bolts through them
  9. The internal part of the plug on the towbar was moving around in the casing so when the trailer plug was pushed towards it, it just moved back & failed to make contact. Once I put my glasses on & realised what was going on it was all fine - just need to prevent it from moving backwards when making a connection.
  10. Thx Paul I'll have another look over the next few days. It's bad enough to have the wrong reg number on the trailer never mind no lights, indicators etc. Still I am now a BMW driver so there is a certain standard to aspire to! Ironically the indicators actually failed tonight -that never happened on my Audi!
  11. Just had a new towbar fitted & the plug on my trailer doesn't fit the socket on the towbar.They are both 7 pin but the new unit doesnt seem the same as the old one & the plug on the trailer won't go in far enough to the socket to connect. Does anybody know if the design had changed?
  12. My car has suffered from msifires for ages (intermittently). One of the problems is occasional dampness getting into the plug holes. So what brand of plug leads is the optimum for a R300 k series? Was thinking Magnecor blue leads. Keen to know what the rest of you are using?
  13. Thanks to everybody who helped in getting my car going today. The first problem turned out to be the TPS which thanks to all concerned was diagosed & sorted - Andrew if you are reading this pls BM me your address. However I now appear to have an immobiliser issue as the car is dead - a little frustrating but it could have been worse! Thanks again to you all. Phil (car 571)
  14. I think I can righfully claim to have had the first off at Harewood on Sunday - first practice off at Country. Pesky crest stopped me from realising the bend came up quite so quick! That'll teach me not to walk the course (again) & only view Andrew W's you tube clip for preparation! Not going to Loton though....

  17. Hi Shaun We def did run the L7 numbers at Aintree last year - I didn't chnage number except after Blyton when I was mis-classed. Thx
  18. Just received the final instructions for Aintree & they appear to have a number of us listed with different competition numbers eg. I am L7C number 571 but they have me down as 142. Is this correct & does this mean we need to amend our numbers? Thx, Phil
  19. Same car as me but mine isn't for sale. I would think you should get in the range of £19k - I know two guys who paid over £20k for broadly the same year, spec etc but from a dealer
  20. Check your shock top mounts - my rear near side one had worked loose when it was checked at the MOT yesterday. It was knocking on the ramp Fortunately the tester is my best mate so a quick tighten up & all good

For me it's quite simple: I can't commit to more than one event per month - I intend to do Aintree in June as it suits me better - my son can attend & see his Grandparents who live there too My trailer is currently minus a ramp so cant use it/ touch & go if it'll be back in time Its nearly four hours journey & I hear the facilities are not great
