    Titan lsd

Sophris As the previous poster said the car is so much more sure footed and predictable and the standing start performance transformed. Oh and 200 bhp thanks to dave, quick rack (another all time driving transformation), adjustable platforms, apollo, bgh reworked gear box ( probably the best spent money), lots of carbon (sad git), external thermostat (really has transformed engine temp stability), switches all moved off the dash and a few other minor mods.

    Titan lsd

BGH gear tech in your neck of the woods got mine and overhauled the diff as always they did a top job. You will know when you boot it if you have an LSD as I now realise.

    Titan lsd

Well I thought you might be interested in my experience of the Titan LSD. I had heard good things but also heard the car would be twitchy on the road so with some trepidation this became the latest in a long list of changes. Well the smile is still with me. The difference is stunning and the car feels and goes so much better. In short if it is something you have considered don't hesitate and it's perfect on the road.

    LSD oil

Around £48 a litre but the nice chaps at opi have recommend an alternative with which it can be mixed so that is fine with me. Thank you everyone for your comments.

    LSD oil

Richard Thank you so much for the kind offer. I was recommended Motul GEAR Competition 75W-140 Racing lubricant which I see is a synthetic oil - I am guessing these types would not mix, but very happy to be corrected. Perhaps the Motul was unnecessary over kill as it would see to be a very high spec. oil, particularly as I am guessing I might need just another .2 l of the stuff unless there is something else it will mix with. Thank you again.

    Hmm if anyone has .2 l going spare .. .. ..

    LSD oil

Well looking forward to collecting my new Titan LSD. I have the recommended oil but having checked the rear diff seems to take 1.2l to fill and the oil comes in 1l bottles. Being a tight git, does anyone know if the diff still requires 1.2l with the titan fitted and whether I need to get two bottles - I ordered 1 before I found out 2 might be needed!

    LSD

So what is the collected wisdom on LSDs these days please? My car is K series 200 bhp and doesnt have an lsd at the moment; I thought I would get one fitted this month. I will ask my mechanic to remove the diff as I havent got the time but take the diff to a specialist fitter. I would appreciate recommendations in the south east please?
  9. I would have thought they should at least have asked before removing it.
  10. Redline recommend the 90. I have used both and cetainly couldnt tell the difference. I dont think there is a great deal between the two. They are a huge difference over anything else I have used and the difference is very noticeable.
  11. The Redline MTL is superb. I couldnt believe the difference it made (although I am not sure what was in there before) but it was really noticeable.
  12. Johnty Thank you. I have the wires that ran to the light bulb in one of the gauges I no longer use; presumably this would provide a +ve and -ve feed to the coil via the press switch. Edited by - heavenly7 on 6 Oct 2010 00:23:08 Edited by - heavenly7 on 6 Oct 2010 00:31:30
  13. I think it is standard to have a two way toggle switch that switches the headlamps from full beam to dip. I want to replace the toggle switch with a push button switch - replicating the two way function - pressed beam up, released, dip. With my elementary electrical knowledge I thought a five pin relay might do the job of switching with the three pins 87a, 30 and 87 taking the existing three wires to the toggle switch and 85 and 86 running to the press button switch - but it doesnt activate the relay to switch between the two. I have a sneeky feeling that I need a negative feed. What is the best way of achieving the correct result please? (and why )
  14. I have had a leak from my gear box for some while. It is not too bad, but I have decided that I would rather have it rectified. I seem to recall from some time back these leaks are usually due to the sender. Has anyone got any tips to help identify whether it is definitely from the sender or some where else. What are the other possibilities please? I also seem to recall that the sender seal can be repalced in situ but is quite fiddly. Any tips please if that is the source? Thank you for any help.
  15. Yes. I was told it would make the car less easy to drive (more jerky). It doesnt, at least most of the time, but sure it will excuse poor clutch control less. I use an Emerald which required the system to be reset for the difference in the flywheel trigger sensor.
