  1. POBC, would appreciate a little ECU help please. I have an EU2 Rover ECU with a 'number' that starts MKC but am having some serious difficulty in reading it. Have access to a very fancy ECU reader that does many, many fancy things to many, many fancy cars but will not read my ECU - has anyone been able to read the ECU at all? Is there a connection that has been disconnected? Am I barking up the wrong tree entirely? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
  2. Dibs on Rover throttle body, will need to add postage to that if that is ok?
  3. Proxy spot at lunch time - wife sent photo of the car behind Warner House next to the canal.
  4. Very friendly wave on the A350, I was in the yellow 7 heading north
  5. Thanks Dave, great to meet you all last night as well, really nice bunch and happy to meet you all. Very happy to be a member of such a helpful/friendly club. Love the forum, very helpful for techno-numpty like myself
  6. CageyH, whew! Thanks for setting my mind at ease. Any action need to be taken?
  7. Apologies to the polishers who might want to look away first... POBC, new member and loving the car. Not very technically minded but very keen to learn. Looking over the car post service after buying, have found something unusual and has me stumped with my front hubs. http://www.flickr.com/photos/84993022@N06/7783334328/in/photostream There is, clearly, a gap with what looks like cotton (looks like the cotton boll just before harvest) just on the inside (labelled 'fluff). The right hub exhibits none of the symptoms. http://www.flickr.com/photos/84993022@N06/7783334542/in/photostream/ Any ideas/help would be much appreciated (please keep answers monosyllabic at this stage, or at least scaled down to newbie level). 10. Thanks guys. Yes it is a K-Series car (2002 1.8). Have searched the archives here but not turned up too much at all. Have another thread open looking at the possibility of the sender. Dignity YHM
  11. Hi all, 7 newbie with no tech knowledge 😳. Having an issue with oil pressure reading 4 bar when I start cold, just above red when warm. Occasionally, the needle seemed to jump around as if the needle was being knocked internally ☹️. Utilising a (very) basic understanding (guessing) I believe it might be: a. sump baffle could do with a change (am hoping like hell it hasn't disintegrated, is there an easy way to tell?) or, b. oil pressure sender is iffy or, c. dodgy gauge. Praying that the oil pump hasn't gone, due to go in for a service in 2 weeks but need to get it there first... Please help! Peter K Edited by - Whisky 7 on 17 Jul 2012 19:33:03
