    extinguishers

I have just replaced mine (service date 2005!!) with one from JCC Race and Rally - Just under £100 + vat. Extinguisher is made by Lifeline and my existing pipework fitted ok. It came as part of a kit with all the fitting cables/pipes etc.
  10. Car going into McMillan for flat flooring etc. Any recommendations for setup ? -ride height - camber - toe in / out or parallel? Thanks Paul(and Bec)
  11. So...... what about the fire extinguisher regs - mine looks like it it the original Caterham Academy one with a service due date of June 2005 !!. Any Ideas where I might get it serviced in the Midlands. The alternative is a new one - best one I have found is from JJC Race and Rally at £120, but would rather not spend this if I can get the current one serviced instead. A search round a few forums also suggest it is worth blowing out the plumbed in extinguisher pipework with an airline, as it can become blocked with dust, making the extinguisher ineffective. Paul
  12. Engine now repaired, having finished last season with a very metallic clatter when cold. As Dan M suggested, it was a couple of the hydraulic tappets which had failed. Very efficient repair carried out by Nick Potter who advertises in Low Flying. Next job is do with a suspension set-up /flat floor check. Any recommendations? Paul
  13. Heard this morning that Bec and myself are in : ) See you all on Sunday! P and B
  14. Bec and myself are 4th and 5th on the Harewood reserve list : ( - should have got our entries in quicker! Here's hoping 5 people withdraw!!

  16. ....have been amalgamated as there is only 1/2 of team Boston in class one. (Also classes 4/6/7) Looking forward to competing against the boys in class 2, though I suspect I may feel the lack of power! Also interesting paddock location for the club - could be a bit grassy, but close to the restaurant! PaulB
  17. Congratulations to Shaun and all the class winners - especially Richard in class 1. Thanks as always to Chris for all your amazing work keeping us administered and scored correctly. Sadly we can't attend the awards dinner as we are on the Scilly Isles that week - perhaps Bec could do her acceptance speech by Skype!! See you all next year - I hope we can do rather more events than we managed this year. Paul and Bec
  18. Excellent day . Many thanks to Chris, marshals and all the 'back room' staff. Paul&Bec
  19. A marvelous event. Many thanks to the all the un-sung heroes without whom we would not have had such a good day. Paul+Bec
  20. ...what time the events at Llys y Fran start? We would love to do it (again), but I'm not sure if we can fit it around other commitments. I seem to remember it being a fairly leisurely start. Paul&Bec
  21. Bec has just heard that she has been awarded a 5 year Royal Academy of Engineering Fellowship to continue her research work at Sheffield - we are all rather pleased!! PaulB
