Saw this car in arrowstar a couple of years ago. History is started life as JPE purchased by one of the heirs to Tetra-Pak who live in Oxfordshire. He spent about £55K in total getting it turboed by whoever-turbotechnics/Courteny etc., then traction control etc., etc. After 6 months he got bored and gave it to Arrowstar to sell-at whatever price they could get!! They sold it for £22-23K if I remember correctly- apparently it is something of a beast, but I tell you what- I'd have sold my Granny......

Any recommendations for good replacement batteries for 1996 HPC? Same size as original to minimise fiddling-got too many other jobs to do this Winter Thanks

Pierre, The spec of the bolt is stamped on the head. Check to see if it's 12.9. If not, personally I would replace it.

There was a report about shearing radius arm bolts I think in Low Flying 2 or 3 years ago - at that time kerbing the rear wheels was thought to be contributory. I called Caterham and had them send me two upgraded bolts to the new spec (minimum 12.9 HT)for my '96 HPC. The bolts they were using at the time were 8.8 I think.

Grover, Biggest problem is standard spring compressors don't fit the small pitch of the springs - I borrowed? a custom-made compressor
