  1. Joseph, your mailbox is full and not accepting replies. paul.
  2. Wheels for sale. Good condition. 185x70x13 Yoko AO21 fitted but not really for use now. Two have OK tread and two would be alright for track etc. £200 Located in East Kent.
  3. Hello Keith, Like Rob I experimented a lot with this. I wanted to keep the engine hot as Zetecs do seem to like that and in their original use they were run hot. So I ended up with a 2.5mm hole, a 92c thermostat and I put in a recycle loop T'd off the heater lines because I got fed up with the continual cycling fluctuations that the Raceline header induces. That arrangement works well for me but I don't do track days although I do tour France a lot in some very hot weather without problems. Oh and I have the original old copper radiator and flat heater. I'm finally happy and she runs happily with a tiny fluctuation between 90 and 93c which suits me perfectly. The only mod I might make is a more of a restriction in the recycle loop to quicken warm up time but it is far from urgent or a problem.......just my OCD*rofl* Paul.
  4. Mankee, as another non Facebook user I quite agree with your comments. paul.
  5. Steve, Another for Transrad, he resoldered a couple of joints on my copper radiator (ex X-flow Zetec) with complete success. Paul.

    Rear Ended

Thanks for all your replies chaps, makes me feel a bit better that your repairs all went ok. I've spoken with Chris, it's booked in for him to sort out and I'm happy that all will be well in the end. I've just got to sit it out. I bet we have the best weather ever now while I'm waiting too Paul.

    Rear Ended

Yes a good point Leon, Arch wouldn't want the whole car as is. I will give Chris at 7Workshop a call tomorrow as he's been great and I'll PM you too. Ta Paul.

    Rear Ended

I'm Mr Grumpy now! Just back from over 1000 mile trip in France to be rear ended at a junction less than 2 miles from home. Car now has a very crumpled bum. He's hit the left corner, pushed the fog light in a long way, twisted the rear panel, pushed the metal floor forwards into the bulkhead behind the seats and so on. Clearly it's a least a new rear panel etc. the chassis tubes behind the panel don't "appear" damaged but it's hard to know. The tank is fine and nothing's touching it, no leaks. The way the carpet in the boot has moved its almost as though the left side of the boot top by the roll bar has risen although I don't see how it can or would. I reckon he was probably only doing about 5MPH but it's amazing how much gets damaged. I'm with Adrian Flux, any thoughts about repairer? What do Flux normally do? My only person I can think of is Arch to look at it. Any advice chaps? Somebody had a similar experience very recently but search as I have, I can't find it😃 Argh, what a rotten end to a trip, try as I can there is no positive to this as the car was in cracking condition ☹️ Paul.
  9. I moved from AO48 60's to AO21 70's and got better ground clearance, a much nicer ride for running around French D roads and slightly better MPG due to the higher circumference. As has been said, a small change in speedo reading and they "look" a little big in this modern low profile world but otherwise all positive for me. Paul.
  10. Hmm, my Yamaha tank did this too. Modern paint is 🙆🏻 Paul.
  11. Having still got the copper radiator I went for the Comma G48 in mine. I did use the G30 for about a year but a read up on types and problems have made me change after the rad repair. Paul.
  12. Hmm, solved. The switch has changed, no longer has the little window for the yellow "on" indication. To use the new type switch I'll need to mode the wiring a little so that the illumination power does not come from the sidelights as it does now. Bum ☹️ Oh well at least it makes more sense now. Paul.
