    Suspension Set

Ah, I see what you mean now, I thought you mean't you didn't want the screen too, I'm not too keen to break up the dampers tbh, but yes they do have the platforms as per your link. They are as fitted by the factory when the car was built , they are widetrack so have the spacers fitted too

  6. Hi all I'm considering uprating the suspension on 2009 Roadsport and thought I'd see if there would be any interest in me selling the original setup to offset the price off the new kit somewhat ! They are Bilstein adjustable platform dampers with 75511 front springs and 71198 rear springs all exactly as factory built and complete Regards

    GN05 AEE ?

With yellow nose band and stripe between Overton and Whitchurch (hants), we were in the black Smart in front of you, hoping to get out for a blat ourselves tomorrow tho !
  8. Blue with silver stripe and cage We were in the tintop Hello !
  9. Oily Have ordered a pair of 633's and verniers today, going to get Mark (ZandF) to re-map the ecu as you suggested. What would you suggest the TDC lift to be set to ? Thanks
  10. Super, thanks for that Oily Will the 1320s be ok with stock springs and followers and what should I set the tdc lift to ?
  11. Thanks for that, i'm thinking a set of 633 grind, verniers and SS (eu3) ecu will be a good simple upgrade ?
  12. Hi all I have been looking at the PTP site and noticed the offer a complete K Series cam upgrade package with either Piper BP270h or BP285h cams, am I correct in thinking the 285 is NOT a straight swap due to standard valve springs not being compatible ? No mention on the PTP site ..... Thanks
  13. Many Thanks That looks identical to the CC kit except they re-prog your own ECU
  14. Hi I am looking for the CC Supersport kit including cams and MEMS with plips, it's out of stock at Dartford.... Gavin

Doh....that should have read CC 6 speed, obviously

    Sadev SCL82-17

I realise this has been subject of previous threads but does anyone know if the Sadev sequential unit is a direct replacement fit for a SS 6 speed on a K series ?
  19. Hi Simon I would be pleased to try to help you sort out any prob you have, do have quite a lot of experience on trying to get emerald up an running too, more than we were hoping for actually !
  20. Just finished upgrading my Roadsport A racecar (1.6SS) to MBE and Jenveys, it already has verniers so I indexed them to oily's recommended lift for t/b's at the same time and the entire transformation is far better than I was expecting with the eagerness at the top end vastly improved. Vast help from Steve Broughton for the MBE and mapping and Jenveys direct, I'm not running filters at present but will engineer something in time, modding the t/b's to make the linkage work well and dril and tap a spigot for the head bleed pipe is fiddly but nothing a competant diy'er cant do (oily had a good set of pics on his site). If you wanted to have a look I only live in Basingstoke so very happy for a chat. It's a shame you've already got the Emerald as I am also trying to engineer a new K6 onto a Sigma powered rally car and will never touch them again, loads of problems witht the ECU (IACV PWM, injector durations calc wrong when using older K3 maps, and numerous other things, there's another thread from yesterday by someone detailing similar things) the customer support from them has been nothing short of attrocious and the unit has been back to them once to be sorted and half the promised functions dont exist. We have spent hours re-mapping it on the road with a wb lambda just to get it going enough to take to Steve Greenald next week. Emerald supplied a base map from a similar engine (but running on a K3) and due to the lack of testing of the K6 it just doesn't work correctly.
  21. Ben If the ecu connection or sender itself fails it will most likely go rich as thats the safest default compared to possibly making it go weak, Emerald isn't compatible with the standard Ford ecu temp as they have a unique scaling factor.
  22. In normal terms a sender and transmitter are usually used to mean the same thing, at a more generic electronic level a transmitter would be a transducer which would be an active device (with it's own electronic functionality such as a MAP sensor) where a sender would normaly just be a passive device like a simple resistance that varies with temp (as per a car temp gauge) Your 'man' sounds like he doesn't really know what he's talking about either tbh (no offence intended) as either a ECU or gauge temp sender is a passive device, the ecu one normally has two pins so it can be earthed accurately unlike the gauge sender earthing thro it's screw thread. It does sound like the engine has been setup with a gauge sender in the past mind you so not sure what you have, if the ecu sender which you may refer to as a transmitter was open circuit the ecu would default to a value in the temp compensation map.
  23. Hi We have a Fester rally car with a 1.7 Puma Zetec-SE, the original ford dash temp gauge is driven from an output from the ford ecu and doesn't have a separate sender, we are using Emerald ecu and installed a sender on a top hose adaptor and fitted a secondary sender. Both available from Demon Tweeks. Hope this helps
  24. Thanks for the advise guys, turns out the map was for larger injectors so needed to add some lift to the map and it works fine now,
  25. I am now happy that the sensor offset seems to be correct at 33* as it was set as anything else is most def wrong, it will catch and burst into life but as soon as the MBE switches to the running maps it stops, the short burst sound like it should. I have tried tweeking the fuel and ignition maps in both directions (cranking value is just fixed 10* and TPS derived injection time) but it make no difference whatsoever....can anyone suggest anything else to try ? HELP !
