  1. BTW seats are for a standard car , not SV or CSR.
  2. Pair of black leather S type seats still in the car I have just purchased. The car has done 3000 miles from new(late 2000) so the seats are generally very good condition, no tears or marks as far as I can see. I can send photos of them in the car taken yesterday. I think these retail at over £900 from Caterham. £400 collection only Dartford area, Kent. I will remove them form the car in the next couple of weeks. Nick
  3. I think I have just solved this on mine. The O ring on the swivel part was too small a cross section, so I got a slightly larger one and it is OK now. When I tighten the cap the swivel section is now tight and no oil is leaking out. I did this after getting a replacement O ring set from Caterham. Nick
  4. Gary I have a Caterham aeroscreen. I my experience the swap from windscreen to aero takes me about 10-15 minutes. Disconnect the heated screen wires on each side, this is a little awkward but once you know where they are it is quite easy. Remove the wiper arms, they just pull off. Loosen the 4 screen allen bolts. I normally place a blanket on the bonnet to lower the screen onto. Pull the heater wires through the scuttle holes. Lower the screen on to the blanket once the bolts have been removed. Fitting the aero is then very simple, clip the screen to the centre poppers, and refit the 4 allen bolts the hold the screen down. Job done. The reverse process takes a bit longer, say 30 mins as it normall takes me some time to line up the allen bolts as the screen seems to require some pushing and pulling to get the holes to line up. This may be just a problem on my car. So in short it is really fairly easy. Don't know the costs, ring Caterham. Nick
  5. How about booking them a seat on Ryanair one way 😬
  6. Think this ad is rather sexist I will have to ask your wife if she has a picture of you driving it to post on here to prove it is a ladies car 😬 Good luck with the sale Nick. Nick
  7. Sold to Colin, subject to payment on collection.
  8. Unmarked R300 wheels fitted with worn(read illegal) CR500 tyres. This set would set you back £423.00 from Caterham and these wheels look new so save yourself £100. £320.00. Buyer collects from NW Kent area, 5 miles from M25 Junction 2. PS. Only wish to sell as a set of 4. Nick
  9. Griff AIS uses standard GPS although most ships now have some form of differential GPS. The position of the aerial is loaded into the AIS transponder on installation by having coordinates A,B,C and D where A is distance from the bow, B is distance from the stern , C is the distance from the port side and D is distance froim the starboard side. A + B = the length of the vessel and C + D is the width. Most large ships are fitted with a turning indicator which feeds into the AIS to give an accurate rate of turn. More info on all this is available from the ITU-R 1371 -1 specifications. Cheers Nick
  10. It sounds like the box will need to be fitted permanently to the car as it is not a simple case of swopping it over with the foam filter each time you go on a track day. I for one do not want to start bending plates and removing throttle cables each time. Personally I think that if the performance is as good/better than the foam filter then I would see no need to use the foam filter again unless I was selling the car back to Caterham. As far as noise is concerned I was always under the impression that these type of air boxes would help reduce induction noise so someone must have noticed this before? Surely it would not make it worse? Noise testing sounds(pun) very hit and miss, what with temperature, wind, moisture etc so I think a circuit needs visiting where the standard Caterham RX00 has consistantly failed, on a day when it is failing to see if it would now scrap through with an airbox fitted. (Goodwood?) Nick
  11. Pages 9.24/9.25 Haynes manual CBR1100. Says 1997/98 but I would have thought it would be the same. Manaual is available from Halfords. Nick
  12. Thanks for the replies. Car has now passed its MOT and the emmisions were OK. I extended the length of the lambda wires. Tried soldering but they are stainless steel so I crimped on some ferrels and then soldered. Made the tail about 8 inches longer and it reaches the harness plug now. Got picked up for having no rubber on the brake pedal? Apart from that no other problems. Not sure if it is my imagination but the car seems to run smoother with the cat and the lambda mounted on the secondary position. Time to remove the cat now! Cheers Nick
  13. Started to fit my cat last night to my R300(for MOT tomorrow). Took off the straight through pipe and fitted the cat pipe. The Lambda wire on this is very short and does not reach the plug up near the battery where the lambda on pipe no. 4 attaches. I take it I have to extend the wiring on the lambda and pass it through the hole where the exhaust manifold goes? Or does it route under the car? Could I just plug the 18mm hole for the lambda on the cat pipe and leave the lambda attached on no.4 primary? Will it affect the emissions if the lambda is at this position rather than than just before the cat? Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers Nick
