  1. Hi Clousta, That all seems perfectly possible. Powerspeed specialise in custom jobs and can make up anything you need, in any size / shape / diameter etc etc. Stainless steel is their weapon of choice for Sevens so no problems there. My suggestion would be to give them a call and discuss what you want as they will be able to help for sure. However, they will most likely need to see the car if they are building up a custom system. If you need my help, drop me a mail
  2. I have the same engine, same 'box and same diff as you, and I suppose the same problem. But trust me, you get used to it and I do a fair bit of motorway trolling into France etc. Never been a problem really but ear plugs are a good idea, regardless of the ratio. Mine does 65mph at 4k revs an 6th! I thought it was ridiculous at first, but over the hills it's awesome. Take it on a track and you'll not want to swap it. A few years back I went to the Nurburgring with friends who had a 911 and a Scooby. Whilst playing on the autobahn, we found that a simple half hood added 11mph to my top speed over just the screen and doors, with scaled down improvements further down the speed range. I.e. Lower revs for same cruising speed. If you still hate, you can replace just the diff. You may well find someone on here willing to do a swap as most would want to go the other way I'd guess.
  3. After running the Powerspeed Bulk-buy (see bulk buy section, I may still be able to get you included if interested) I'm soon going to change from a single skin exit exhaust to a 4-2-1 system with 2.25" bore. Will this affect the fueling and would I need a new ECU with a different map to extract most value (Emerald for example)? Or .... will the std MEMS 'learn' the new engine requirements post change? Car is a 1.8 K, VVC EU2. Currently 150bhp with lightweight flywheel. Otherwise standard.
  4. Gents, all no problem. Please send me a Blatmail with your requirements so I can make sure you have the info to be included ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Calm down dear, it's only a forum!

  12. Hi Roger, I'm near Epsom. I can pop by but am out the country until mid-week.
  13. Dave, should be no problem. I am out of the country on Blackberry only so will email you later in the week.
  14. Hi Roger, first dibs to Rob as he enquired, but if not suitable I would be interested please. I am out of the country at the mo but back next week so can drop you a line then. Was looking for a set for track days to save my nice ones in the event of an incident!
  15. First post now updated! 😬 Still available prior to going on Autotrader as new V5 now arrived yet .. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Calm down dear, it's only a forum!
  16. I need some as well, but not the boot floor. Assume you mean just the vertical section around the inside of the rear skin? If you find somewhere who can do just the bit, I'll club in with you. CC only do full boot kits I think. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Calm down dear, it's only a forum!
  17. Hi Shaun, Specifically no, but they can make up any custom set-up that you like. We would need to discuss with them exactly what you need to get an idea of price though, unless you're using the standard jig for regular 4-2-1 primaries. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Calm down dear, it's only a forum!

    Skid Lid

How to choose the ideal helmet (from personal experience): Spend a minimum of 2 weeks researching helmets. Look into every aspect of their design, features, resistance and quality. Research all the regulations and impact test results before drawing up a shortlist - afterall it's your head you are protecting. Once you have your shortlist of desired lids, then look at price - and only then. Once you have a budget and a spec you like at that budget, spend a further 2 weeks looking at the merits of different graphical deisgns and deciding which one looks coolest and matches the colour of your car. Then .... get yourself down to a shop and try them all on. At the end of this process, buy the one and only helmet that actually fits snug and comfortably, therefore negating all of your previous month's research. I have an Arai shaped head (and therefore a lightweight wallet). As a motorcyclist, I have both FIA and motorcycle helmets so have tried on a lot over the years, but I only seem to find Arai's comfortable. My brother has a Shoei shaped head, and my mate a AGV head. All our helmets are Mediums (approx 58), but we each only find our own ones comfortable. So the moral of the story .... save yourself a month of online research and go try some on. You'll soon know what options you have, and a perfect fit will will give you more protection than spending double the cash. Autosport show (or a motorcycle show for motorcycle lids) is a great place to start. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Calm down dear, it's only a forum!
  19. My wife is selling her Peugeot 206 CC (Coupe-Cabriolet, folding hard top). 2001, 51 plate 2.0 SE, petrol, manual in Silver 2 lady owners (SWMBO is the second) Low mileage, just 40,000 on the clock. Alloys, air con, climate control, electrics etc etc. Full service history, MOT & Tax and 4 new tyres (2 very recent and 2 brand new, all matching) Never crashed, bumped, dinged etc. Good condition, we've had it for the last 7 years and it's been fine. Always cleaned and maintained etc. It will be going up for £2995 shortly with room for negotiation, but first dibs to a blatchatter for £2500. It's been on a private plate so just waiting for the V5 to come back with the original reg before it goes on Autotrader, but thought I'd offer it here first if anyone wants it. It's a nice, girly car so ideal for a wife / girlfriend / daughter / brother? Any viewing welcome, we're near Epsom. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Calm down dear, it's only a forum! 23. Following on from Dave21p's successful Powerspeed bulk buys in 2008 and 2009, I am putting together another one for Feb 2011. If you are looking for a new exhaust this winter and wish to take advantage of discounts from list price, please register your interest here. They can make up any combination of exhaust depending on your needs. Once we have a list of what people want, I will gather up prices for everyone. Current indicative prices (factored a lot by the recent increase in cost of steel) are as follows: Full system for K-series including any diameter repackable silencer, £850 Include cat, +£150 Carriage £20 Fitting £150 All prices are + VAT. Please list interest below and we can take it from there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Calm down dear, it's only a forum!
  24. I use R888's as well and find them excellent. Fine in the damp, but they don't like standing water. However, no tyre in this category will like standing water! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Calm down dear, it's only a forum!
  25. Ozzy, you're right, they're not cheap. However, accuracy is 100 times better than the Caterham ones where your temp is 'somewhere on an undefined scale'. But agreed, if you had £150 to spend on the car there are better places to start 😶‍🌫️ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Calm down dear, it's only a forum!
