  1. 2am. Does such a time exist 😳 Goodnight, sounds like you deserve it.
  2. eugh, cabbage 😳 I like the advice. [best Homer Simson voice] mmmmmmm beer [/best Homer Simpson voice] Sorry, never was very good at impressions 😬
  3. Thanks Miss Mav. I see you've not ventured out to Wybunbury either. It's too cold and miserable out there for me It's a real pain in the 🙆🏻 I was thinking about booking another track day in the summer but will have to put that plan on hold Hang on.............. stay chilled Matt ...................[sips beer]........... that's better
  4. After a bad day, I found out I need to spend £140 on a new mirror for the tintop after some drunken pillock kicked the stuffings out of my old one, there is no better way to relax: good food, good music, good beer, reading Blatchat and dreaming of the long summer evenings and (Fingers crossed) Cadwell to come. I was really hacked off now I'm much calmer I'm not quite sure why I've posted this, but hey, it is the sheds
  5. Maybe my hood was altered at some point then. It goes on as easily as my Dad's does over his FIA bar.
  6. No problem Grant. I've just had a look at the Caterham website. Is it the Megagrad car that you're buying? If so, it looks like it may have a tall Roadsport cage on rather than the standard one. If this is the case then, again, I think you will struggle with a standard hood.
  7. Sorry, double post Edited by - Matthew Willoughby on 9 Mar 2004 23:14:27
  8. My hood fits with no problem at all over a Roadsport cage (year 2000 car). I think Caterham have changed supplier since and don't know if anything has changed but I believe that hood fitment was a requirement for the new Roadsport cage. If you've got a Superlight cage then I believe the thinking is that a hood won't fit. See here for more information on 7 cages. Hope this helps
  9. I can't see a Caterham there 😳
  10. I just bought a new Cover Systems cover from Redline in Caterham for about £70 +VAT and postage. It's just about perfect
  11. Just got my Low Flying. Apllication form and cheque for Cadwell in the post 😬
  12. You needn't worry about it being classed as a classic car. I've got a year 2000 Seven and it costs around £350 for me to insure and I'm only 23. If you put it on a limited mileage policy with a specialist insurer the cost will be low compared to any "normal" car of comparable performance.
  13. Maybe he's confused because it's called a Roadsport cage. Roadsports are all de dion and so he probably thinks this means the cage is for a de dion. You couldn't have made it much more obvious in your thread title though
  14. New Cover Systems cover arrived today. It's a perfect fit, nice and tight, so it shouldn't come off especially as it has a strap underneath as well. Only cost £80 from Redline in Caterham It looks like the cats in the neighbourhood have found a new favourite hidey-hole though 🙆🏻
  15. Phew I can put the bucket on hold then. Actually, Alex might be the one needing a bucket after popcorn and chocolate 😬
  16. Hoopy. Oi, Hoopy, I need one of your traps. Now ❗
  17. New target Tiptree. Just got 2134
  18. Thanks all. I think I'll get a new cover systems one then (thanks for the offer Masha) unless anybody has a good condition one that they don't use any more.
  19. Graham I definately don't ❗ It looks like the email function on here is playing up a bit still (or it's just taking a while for the message to get through to me). I've emailed you so you should have my address to reply to in the normal way. Matthew
  20. I have a tonneau from a Graduates spec car with a cage that I might be tempted to sell. The car has a tillett drivers seat but the tonneau doesn't have pockets for the headrest so it doesn't fit. How much are you offering or are you sorted now?
  21. I need an outdoor cover for my 7 so that I can keep it outside my house when the weather improves rather than in a garage several miles away. The cover must be waterproof and breathable and in good condition with a strap underneath the car. Anybody built a garage and no longer requires a cover?
  22. Has anybody got any tips for removong and fitting of tilletts as it sounds an awkward job and I have no instructions (or common sense 😳)
  23. Strangely Thanks for that. My car's an ex racer which is one reason I thought it was fixed, I couldn't see the point of a race car having adjustment at the expense of weight. Oh well, I'm glad it has adjustables. Seat out tomorrow night I think. I just hope I can get it back in
  24. Richard, Thanks. Sounds like a 2 man job then seeing as I'm useless at such things. Sounds like the spanner and socket set I bought yesterday is going to get some use. I think it's time for a phone call to Dad to ask for assistance, I think he wants an excuse to come see the car anyway (he lives 140 miles away).
