  1. Got this great big CRT taking up space in my mum's house. Last used about 2 years ago and only stopped using it because I went to an LCD screen, so I assume that it still works OK! Comes with the monitor cable and I could probably dig out the power cable and destruction manuals/drivers CDs for it to. Small chip, as can been seen in the pics. Couple of pictures here and here. Free to a good home, collection from Ipswich area in Suffolk, donation to NtL would be great too.
  2. Yeah, I didn't know what the reserve was (didn't think it was right to ask!) but I wanted both the tonneau and the seats so offered him/her some cold hard cash and that was that. They did say that there was a lot of interest in the seats after the auction had finished.
  3. Well, I'm picking up the new seats on Thursday and was hoping to fit them on Friday, ready for the charity day at RAF Marham on Saturday, depending on a few other bits and bobs that I need to do. So hopefully have it ready to sell in the next week or two. And yes, good old eBay!
  4. Hi Paul. I will have a Caterham Tillet for sale very soon as I've just bought a matching pair. I was having the same predicament as yourself! It's still in the car at the moment and is on adjustable runners. Don't have a decent photo of it but I do have one photo to give you an idea here. Not sure what I'd like for it yet either. Might be of some use to you?
  5. Hi George. Have these wheels sold yet? If not, could you email me a picture please and also let me know where in Suffolk you are. Thanks!
  6. Great stuff. Thanks for the help. I memorised the important numbers (5 and 735) but couldn't remember the rest of the part number! As expected, the Halfords computers were a bit useless when trying to look up relevant vehicles that might have used the same belt.
  7. Hello folks. My first post the TechTalk section! Please be gentle. Took the nose cone off my Caterham for the first time yesterday. Started her up to do some checks and noticed that the alternator belt is going to make a bid for freedom shortly. Done a search and I need a 5-rib belt of length 735mm. My engine is from an Elise if that makes any difference, a standard 118bhp engine. Been to Halfords (got a trade card for cheap bits and all that) and I've got a 5-rib belt of length 732mm. I've not checked the amount of adjustment I have on my alternator as the car is 25 miles away, but a 3mm shorter belt shouldn't make a difference hopefully right? If it does, I'll have to rip the belt off and match one up at my local motor factors. Cheers in advance for any pointers.
  8. Could it be a duff wheel bearing? I'm new to the Caterham scene so I apologise if I have made a heinous mechanical error!
  9. Hi there. I am after a few items for the start of my Caterham ownership. First up, I would like a composite Tillet seat and subframe, the sort with carpet and the Caterham logo embroidered on the head rest. Doesn't matter if scuffed; in fact, this is ideal as it'll match my driver's seat! It must be intact with no broken parts nor be chopped about. Also after a set of Luke 6-point harnesses, again, to match my driver's side setup. Doesn't matter if out of date or fadded etc. For reference, my driver's side seat and harness looks like this and I would like matching items. Also after a set of cheap 13x6 Minilites to bang some road tyres on and rip up around an air field. Finally, if anyone has a passenger side impact bar for a K-series engined car then I would be very interested. I think it's this part that I need. I'm based in Ipswich, Suffolk but do travel about a bit so can pick up things. Please let me know what you have. Thanks.
