Yes that was the kit I saw, eliminating the cold start air jets, fuel starter valves and blanking off the air gallery in addition to the blanking plate.
Thanks.

Thanks Paul, that’s very helpful.

I seem to have a small chronic fuel leak from the cold start devices on both carbs. Small amounts of fuel seems to come from around the rear air intake channels on the device and runs down onto the throttle spindle cover plate area and under the carb body, as the car is running. Over time eg this summer’s motoring, this has become an oily mess.
Whilst I’m uncertain of the cause and I never use the cold start device, I wondered about fitting the cold start device elimination kits that I’ve seen available.
Anyone have any thoughts on the cause of the leak (? worn / leaky starter valves) and advisability / experience on fitting this kit?
Thanks

337 mm.
My experience with widetrack on pre 96 is that it wrecks the handling (IMHO).

Thanks Roy. All I’ve got to do is to remember to bring it on the day....

Maybe the seal is the wrong size (after market copy?) I’ve certainly had a problem with an after market front crank oil seal that was demonstrably undersize (made a terrible oily mess when it popped out).

Thanks, I think they do, and a number of other outlets too. I was rather hoping someone has an unwanted used module that is surplus, before coughing up for a new item.

Wanted: Lumenition Optronic PMA50 (module only needed). Prehaps you have one left on a shelf following an upgrade?
Thanks.

I was advised by BMTR that the ZZR tyres will pass an MOT, but in light of Avon’s statement (above) it might be problematic with an insurance claim, especially in wet conditions.
As a result I have not used my spare ZZR set on the road.

Sorry to hear about your pain.....Years ago my Mini 1275 GT engine provided me with lots of desk paperweights after it’s crank let go...

Any offers?

Ah, yes I recall now the carbon dash I fitted with the second scuttle needed loads of trimming on the top edge to allow the scuttle to be anywhere close to fitting.
Good luck!
-
Tom,
I’ve had 3 scuttles on my car and they’ve all been slightly different at that lower corner. Is yours new or the original? Both the newer ones needed fettling to fit well. My original (94 car similar to yours?) would have been fitted by Arch originally and is a very slightly different shape at these lower corners.
I know this doesn’t answer your query, but I’d agree it’s not easy to get a satisfactory result.

2 CR500 tyres 13” 175 55. These are 8 months old purchased from BMTR and have covered 200 miles only, so are as new condition. They were purchased to match existing tyres but removed to be replaced by a set of ZZS, so are now surplus.
£160 for the pair. I can bring them to Curborough for the Club sprint on 25th August.

I assume the MSUK competitor third party insurance will cover the cost of building repairs!

Thanks Danny, now sorted.
